Job description

Soil Capital is on a mission to regenerate over 10 million hectares of land by 2030, addressing our environmental and food security challenges through regenerative and low-carbon agriculture. As a leading expert in this field, we have developed the first payment for ecosystem services program for farmers in Europe.

Through our certified programme and our platform, Soil Capital leads the food and ag sector transformation by engaging with blue chip organisations who seek to deliver on their environmental commitments and build supply chain resilience. These business purchase regenerative units, acting as an incentive for farmers to measure and earning improve their agricultural practices. 

Our technology supports farmers by allowing them to efficiently and accurately measure farming practices, as well as the GHG balance of their farm which we then audit and certify to generate certificates. This helps farmers understand the levers to accelerate their adoption of regenerative practices.

In the past ten years, Soil Capital has established as a thought leader and a driver of change at scale in France, the U.K. and Belgium. Pursuing its ambitious growth trajectory, it is now expanding geographical and product scopes.

Key Responsibilities:

As Chief Revenue Officer, you will play a critical role in defining, leading, and executing the corporate sales strategy at Soil Capital. Your mission will be to drive strong growth, expand market presence across current and future geographies, and develop high-value commercial propositions tailored to the needs of major players in the food and agriculture sector. Key responsibilities include:

Revenue Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive revenue strategy to accelerate growth and expand Soil Capital’s footprint in the regenerative agriculture market.

  • Drive the achievement of our triple-digit growth targets and profitability objectives.

  • Implement data-driven best practices in sales operations, including pipeline management, forecasting, and performance tracking.

Enterprise Sales Leadership

  • Drive the acquisition and retention of large corporate clients, leading high-value negotiations and closing multimillion-euro deals with major players in the food and agriculture industry.

  • Oversee key account management functions to drive customer retention, recurring revenue, and upsell opportunities.

  • Oversee the origination function to ensure a healthy pipeline to meet revenue growth targets.

Commercial Organization Development

  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing commercial team, ensuring sales processes and operational excellence.

  • Recruit new team members in line with business needs, their ability to close deals, and their affinity for Soil Capital values.

  • Establish performance metrics and conduct regular assessments to ensure continuous improvement and alignment with company goals.

Strategic Partnerships & Market Expansion

  • Cultivate long-term, high-value relationships with key industry stakeholders, ensuring alignment with Soil Capital’s mission and business objectives.

  • Leverage a robust personal network of contacts in the food and agriculture space to originate strong client relationships and forge strategic alliances.

  • Expand our presence in new and existing markets, enhancing brand recognition and market share.

  • Represent Soil Capital at industry events, conferences, and forums to promote our mission and solutions.

Sustainability & Procurement Technical Support

  • Demonstrate deep understanding of Soil Capital’s corporate solutions (e.g., supply shed concept with respect to environmental, resilience, and climate impact matters) and effectively communicate our value proposition to clients.

  • Provide technical insights and support during sales engagements, including product demonstrations and client consultations.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements to maintain Soil Capital’s competitive and innovative edge.


Preferred experience

Experience & Expertise

  • Extensive experience in driving revenue growth and scaling businesses at pace, ideally in sectors like food, agriculture, or sustainability.

  • Demonstrated ability to secure complex, multimillion-euro contracts with large corporate clients.

  • Experience in building and managing high-performing commercial teams, fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.

  • Deep understanding of the food and agriculture ecosystem, including carbon markets, sustainability regulations, and supply chain dynamics.

  • Visionary & Strategic Thinker – Ability to define and execute long-term commercial strategies while remaining agile in a fast-moving market.

  • Bilingual Advantage – Fluency in English is required; other languages, particularly French, are a plus.
