The position

Job description

As we expand, we are seeking a highly motivated Partnership Specialist to join our dynamic team.

Our Sales team is composed of 3 streams: farmers, partners, and corporates.

As Partnership Specialist at Soil Capital, you will play a pivotal role in driving our growth and expanding our footprint in the sustainable agriculture sector. Your primary responsibility will be to promote our carbon remuneration programme through partners to Belgian and French farmers and ensuring that our programme becomes the benchmark in the sector. You will need to understand their needs and deliver solutions that exceed their expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Taking active part in prospecting new partners, with a focus on cooperatives and traders

  • Conversion of inbound leads into a target number of closed transactions, in line with our expected conversion rate

  • Providing direct advice to interested farmers who have questions before committing themselves
    to our programme

  • Growing leads into partners and following them on their journey to scale with Soil Capital

  • Represent the company and our offer at relevant agricultural events

  • Organize joint events with partners for farmers

  • Contributing to the good use and improvement of sales processes, tools and materials

  • Systematically capturing customer feedback to improve Soil Capital’s value proposition

  • Support the Partner team in account management duties


Preferred experience

Qualifications

  • Experience: A prior experience working with farmers and/or cooperatives.

  • Technical Expertise: You have a deep understanding of sustainable agriculture, environmental science, or a related field. You know how a farm works and what farmers are sensitive to.

  • Organizational Skills: You have excellent personal organization and capacity to take ownership on your responsibilities. You pay attention to detail and show consistency in integrating your work in the team’s organization.

  • Communication Skills: You have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

  • Language: Fluent both in French & English.

  • Drive: You are highly motivated and eager to contribute to our mission, with a passion for sustainability and making a positive impact in the agriculture sector.

  • Experience working in a cooperative or with the carbon market is a plus.
