Job description

Swan is looking for a full-stack Data Analyst to join its Data team. The current team is led by Romain, our VP data, and consists of 8 members with expertise in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering and Data Analytics.

You will work primarily on a wide range of finance-related topics, cross-functionally with Finance, Billing, Revops, Growth, and on company reporting. Occasionally, you will also support People team on all data-driven initiatives. This is a unique opportunity to design and build crucial data products from the ground up, and lead data projects that support strategic business goals on a company level.

Your mission

  • Analytics Engineering

  • Design and implement data models and workflows to improve existing processes (Accounting Report, Revenue & Cost Report, etc).

  • Ensure data integrity and quality by adhering to engineering best practices and making sure the models are tested, documented and easy to use.

  • Data Analytics

    • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and metrics that provide actionable insights for financial performance and people analytics.

    • Conduct ad-hoc analysis for domain-specific business questions.

    • Become the go-to data person and support data-driven decision-making across their departments on a daily basis.

  • Help shape our data strategy by actively contributing to internal guidelines and best practices, suggesting process enhancement and adoption of new tools.

Preferred experience

You’re a great match if:

  • You should have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Data Analyst, Analytics Engineer, or equivalent.

  • Strong proficiency in SQL and hands-on experience in data modelling.

  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations.

  • Proven experience in project and stakeholder management, able to own projects from conception to execution with minimal supervision.

  • Great communication skills, with the ability to present complex data to non-technical stakeholders in English.

  • Passion, curiosity, and the capacity to learn quickly are important, as we are constantly exploring new technologies and approaches to improve our work.

  • Ideally, you have already worked with DBT and a BI tool (Metabase, Looker, Tableau, etc).

  • Ideally, you have already worked in functional domains like Finance and GTM (Sales/Marketing).

  • Ideally, you have already worked in Fintech sector.

  • Our ideal teammate: Empathetic. Skilled. Frank. We love to challenge each other, and we leave our egos at the door.

It’s okay if you don’t tick all the boxes — don’t let imposter syndrome prevent you from applying! 🙌
