The position

Job description

Swan is looking for an Internal Controller to join its Internal Control team within the Compliance, Risk & Internal Control department. You will work closely with Manon, our Head of Internal Control.

This team is responsible for ensuring the security and safety of our banking features and always has to consider the best way to combine multiple areas, such as business, legal, regulatory, and customer support.

As both a technology and financial services company, Swan relies on its Compliance, Risk & Internal Control team to make these pieces fit together!

As an Internal Controller, your primary responsibility is to ensure the security of all processes at Swan and contribute to risk control through regular controls on diverses topics. You will work in collaboration with all the Swan teams (such as compliance, payment, sales, finance, etc.) to ensure the correct coverage and management of all risks.

Your mission

  • Contribute to the ongoing development and implementation of our internal control framework;

  • Conduct second-level controls, analyze and report results, and make recommendations to improve risk management performance.

  • Contribute to the improvement of second-level control plans.

  • Follow up on recommendations from third-level periodic controls and support their implementation.

  • Contribute to regulatory reportings.

  • Document procedures related to second-level control.

  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred experience

You’re a great match if:

  • You have a 1-2 years experience in Internal control / audit. Ideally you have an experience/background in a Fintech environment, payment institution or bank.

  • You have experience in a regulated environment

  • You have a strong ability to adapt easily and quickly to the situation or the request. 

  • You have good working abilities in English & in French

  • Ideally, you have an interest in tech (ability to read code, write SQL queries…).

Recruitment process

  1. Pre screen Interview : Video call with our Talent Acquisition Manager, to get to know you, understand your career expectations and answer your questions. (30 min)

  2. Case Study/Technical Case: Practical case to evaluate investigative and analytical skills, may involve a panel presentation (1h15) 

  3. Hiring Manager Interview: In-depth discussion with our Head of Internal Control, Manon.

  4. Peer Interview: Meet with team members for alignment on collaboration and work culture.

  5. Final Interview: In depth discussion with our Chief Risk Officer, Stephie. (30 min)
