The position

Job description

Context

Our track record is now enabling us to identify a large number of investors interested in various Urban Campus products. As we are accelerating our growth, we are looking for our new Real Estate Development & Acquisition Manager for Spain to start in March 2025.

Based in Madrid, your job consists in sourcing top-tier real estate opportunities while identifying new institutional investing partners to strike deals with.

You will work closely with Badis, our current Development and Acquisition Manager, and Ana, our Head of Spain, whom you will report to.

This position features strong responsibilities and requires a wide range of skills in order to source your own pipeline of assets to acquire and develop : in-depth real estate knowledge, financial expertise, communication and negotiation skills, ability to prioritize and execute fast.

Your missions

- Source attractive investment opportunities from developers, investors, brokers, family offices… as well as develop long-term relationships with them.

- Prioritize your pipeline and provide quantitative/qualitative analysis for each investment opportunity to be considered : produce market studies, a financial model, key metrics, and a risk analysis.

- Identify potential investors, reflect upon the right product/business plan for every lead and pitch the project.

- Present the selected opportunities to the Executive Committee, as well as provide

regular market updates.

- Negotiate attractive economic/legal terms for the management of the assets and the acquisitions, then secure and finalize the deal.

- Support other teams such as Asset management and PMO.


Preferred experience

Background and expertise

  • Master’s degree in Business School or equivalent

  • 4 to 7 years of demonstrable experience in real estate acquisitions in an Investment Team within the start up/scale up environment or a fast-paced, dynamic fund.

  • Existing network of RE actors/partners and will to develop it

  • Top-tier analytical skills and financial expertise

  • Excel and PPT proficiency, leading to swiftly write and present data, reports, IMs

  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to effectivelytrack, report, and manage multiple projects and priorities where meeting deadlines is critical

  • Capability to close deals and overcome complexity.

Soft skills

  • Entrepreneur-minded, analytical and result-driven, creative thinker with high intellectual curiosity and eager to work in a fast-paced startup environment

  • Team spirit and interest in working with multicultural and multidisciplinary teams

  • Complete fluency in Spanish and English.
