Who are we ?

Volta Medical is an innovative, data-inspired US and European-based startup aimed at creating and bringing to the market cutting-edge AI software products to revolutionize interventional cardiac electrophysiology.

Volta has created a data collection and enrichment ecosystem for curated EP lab data which is fed into a physician validated, machine learning methodology to support complex AF solutions. Our newest technology, Volta AF-Xplorer, is a data-driven AI decision support system that easily integrates into the standard physician workflow, providing a patient-tailored approach to complex AF and AT procedures.

Our dynamic, innovative team is made up of 100+ collaborators in the EU and USA from a wide variety of backgrounds including engineers, business professionals and physicians, working together to develop AI solutions that help electrophysiologists help patients.

Interested in joining us in this mission? We are looking for a Data Engineer apprenticeship to join our Data Collection team in Marseille.

    • Missions

  • As part of its AI-related activities Volta is looking for an apprentice to support the development of its data collection strategy. The collected data, which are specific to the field of electrophysiology, require extensive processing. As the data evolves, so do the processing methods. In this context, it is essential to ensure rigorous monitoring and prioritization of data processing while also developing automation solutions to streamline these operations. In collaboration with the Data, Data Science and Innovation teams, you will take part in data collection and processing activities.

    • Your responsibilities will include the following:  

  • Extract data from third-party systems  
  • Process the collected data  
  • Validate the quality of the data
  • Store and manage the data  
  • Develop tools such as scripts to automate and optimize data processing tasks 
  • Document the processes used to ensure clarity and facilitate knowledge sharing within the team

    • Profile

  • You are currently studying in computer science, data science, engineering, or a related field. 
  • You are a junior candidate, and this role is ideal for you as part of an apprenticeship. 
  • You have experience with Python and TypeScript (a plus). 
  • You have a problem-solving mindset, good communication skills, and attention to detail,  
  • You are fluent in both French and English (a plus). 

    • This apprenticeship offers a hands-on experience in AI-driven data processing and automation, providing a valuable learning opportunity in an innovative and dynamic environment.
