At Voyage Privé, the digital/tech team is organized in four key domains covering all the critical stakes of our business and working in deep collaboration with all the other departments of the company. Each domain is composed of squads grouping Product, Data, Engineering, Business Representative, in charge of crafting and delivering the domain’s strategy and roadmap.   

E-commerce is one of these four domains, with 3 sub-domains: Member Growth, Shopping (web experience), Mobile (phone & tablet experiences).  

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager specializing in mobile applications to lead our technical teams in the Mobile sub-domain, and ensure the delivery of innovative, high-performance mobile solutions aligned with user needs.  

As an Engineering Manager, you will combine team management, strategic vision, and technical expertise to build mobile platforms that enable us to redefine the luxury travel experience for millions of users worldwide.  

Key Responsibilities 

Business Impact and Strategic Alignment 

• Act as a bridge between technology and business, ensuring mobile development initiatives align with the company’s strategic objectives and drive measurable business outcomes. 

• Collaborate with business representatives, product managers, and stakeholders to identify opportunities for mobile innovation that enhance user experiences and improve KPIs (e.g., engagement, conversion, retention). 

• Advocate for mobile as a critical driver of growth, delivering insights on trends, user behaviors, and performance metrics that inform decision-making. 

• Ensure the mobile team’s work is aligned with creating value for our users and maintaining Voyage Privé’s position as a leader in luxury travel. 

Technical Leadership  

• Lead the design and evolution of scalable, high-performance mobile architectures that align with our vision of powering rapid business growth. 

• Champion engineering excellence by driving best practices in software design, performance optimization, security, and reliability, ensuring our platforms can scale with the company’s strategic ambitions. 

• Stay ahead of technological trends and integrate modern frameworks, tools, and approaches to maintain a cutting-edge development ecosystem.  

• Promote a developer-friendly environment that emphasizes automation, CI/CD, and streamlined development processes, enabling teams to focus on delivering impactful solutions quickly and effectively. 

Team Management 

• Build and mentor a high-performing engineering team, focusing on technical depth, collaboration, and a shared commitment to innovation and impact. 

• Act as a coach, empowering engineers to grow their skills while fostering a sense of ownership and accountability across the team. 

• Develop a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement, where engineers are encouraged to propose bold ideas and challenge the status quo. 

• Create an environment of psychological safety where team members can innovate, take calculated risks, and learn from failures. 

Strategic Planning and Project Management 

• Translate ambitious product and business goals into actionable engineering roadmaps, ensuring the team has clear priorities and a shared vision. 

• Implement efficient methodologies that enhance delivery speed and adaptability while maintaining high quality and technical rigor. 

• Partner closely with product, data, and business leaders to identify opportunities for innovation and ensure engineering teams deliver maximum impact on business KPIs. 

• Establish a results-driven mindset, where success is measured by the tangible value delivered to users and the business.

Technical Expertise 

• Solid expertise in mobile development for iOS (Swift) or Android (Kotlin). 

• Working knowledge of hybrid frameworks (React Native or Flutter). 

• Deep understanding of modern mobile app architectures. 

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for mobile applications. 

• Familiarity with mobile app monitoring and performance analysis tools. 

Leadership and Management 

• Proven experience in managing technical teams. 

• Strong ability to inspire and motivate teams while ensuring rigorous goal tracking. 

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to give constructive feedback. 

Strategic Thinking and Project Management 

• Ability to transform product goals into concrete, achievable technical solutions. 

• Strong project management skills, particularly in Agile environments. 

• Experience in prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously. 

Innovation and Problem-Solving 

• Keen eye for emerging trends in mobile technology. 

• Ability to propose and implement innovative solutions to complex technical challenges. 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

• Minimum 5 years of experience in mobile application development. 

• At least 2 years in a management or technical leadership role. 

• Demonstrated experience in delivering large-scale mobile applications.
