Organization and methodologies

In our AI animation initiatives, we adopt a test-and-learn strategy, conducting weekly test sessions to refine our models.

This iterative approach allows us to enhance performance based on real-world feedback, fostering innovation and adaptability. By prioritizing continuous testing and learning, we push the boundaries of AI's potential in animation.

Projects and tech challenges

In traditional 3D animation production, workflow character animation is the most costly and time-consuming step, up to 80% of the production budget.

Animators manually create keyframes and then interpolate the movement of the characters between these keyframes.

We decided to tackle this part and figure out ways to make it as automated and efficient as possible.

Technical hurdles:

  • Text, video, image based 3D Motion generation models to generate 3D motion on standard human shapes and cartoon characters.
  • Efficient representations of 3D characters rig
  • Modelling kids' entertainment trends and audience preferences
