You will join the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) team within the Group Risk Management (GRM) department. The ERM team's main mission is to define and implement the Group’s Risk Management framework, including the Risk Appetite and the Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA). This notably involves governance, validation, and approval of the Group’s internal model, as well as defining processes to manage the main accumulation risks such as financial, longevity, or natural catastrophes.

Job Purpose:

• Lead the definition and implementation of risk management frameworks related to climate change and sustainability risks across the Group and its entities.
• Design, govern, and report on the Group's Risk Appetite, ensuring its alignment with climate and sustainability risk management.
• Lead working groups on climate change and sustainability projects with Group and local correspondents.

Dimension of the role:

• Address one of the main risks the Group is exposed to in the medium and long term, covering a wide spectrum of physical and transition risks with implications for insurance, such as natural catastrophes, mortality, health costs, investment risks, and operational risks.
• Implement governance and monitoring of the Group Risk Appetite indicators, covering the full scope of risks and business dimensions across operations in over 60 countries and various regulated insurance and reinsurance activities.

Key Accountabilities:

• Define and implement the risk management framework related to climate change and sustainability risks:
  • Coordinate with Group and local correspondents.
  • Deploy tools, scenarios analysis, and key messages.
  • Coordinate climate regulatory stress tests exercises.
• Produce the Climate section of the ORSA report:
  • Coordinate with Group stakeholders.
  • Provide instructions/guidelines for the entities.
• Define and ensure consistent implementation of the Risk Appetite Framework:
  • Coordinate annual updates to be submitted to the ARCC and Finance & Risk Committee of the Board.
  • Collaborate with Group and entities’ stakeholders.
• Produce the Group Risk Appetite quarterly dashboard:
  • Coordinate with Group correspondents.
  • Notify Group Risk Appetite breaches to the Group governance bodies.
  • Follow up on remediation plans related to Risk Appetite breaches.
