Organization and methodologies

CAST

The CAST R&D team consists of over 100 software engineers, organized into squads across our two R&D labs in France and India.

They follow agile methodologies, including regular team ceremonies and rituals, enabling continuous delivery with short development cycles: one-week sprints for CAST Highlight and two-week sprints for CAST Imaging.

Team members share responsibilities and take full ownership of their microservices, practicing rigorous code reviews, end-to-end testing, and collaborative development to ensure high-quality software.

Projects and tech challenges

CAST Imaging

CAST Imaging is a deep software analysis technology. It performs automated, semantic analysis of all system data structures, code components, and their direct and indirect dependencies - across virtually any technology stack.

By understanding contextual semantics, data flows, and control flows from interfaces to data entities, CAST Imaging reverse - engineers software architecture down to the smallest detail. It reveals what the code truly does, visualizes the architecture in 3D, and identifies faulty calls and references within and between components across all technology layers.

CAST Highlight

CAST Highlight is a SaaS platform that enables rapid software portfolio analysis at scale. It can scan hundreds of applications to deliver actionable insights across key dimensions such as cloud readiness, open-source risk, technical debt, and overall software health.

It detects blockers and accelerators for cloud migration, estimates modernization effort, and recommends the most suitable cloud-native service.

With automated code analysis, CAST Highlight supports IT leaders in managing resiliency, agility, and regulatory risks - all with minimal setup and without requiring full source code access
