Our ambition is to be the number one HR solution for all shifted teams in Europe. After starting in France and successfully expanding into 3 European markets (Belgium, Switzerland and Spain), we are now going one step further into our European expansion story by opening a new country: Italy.

Your role

You will report to the Chief of Staff and will be leading all initiatives to open and expand our footprint in Italy: owning the launch strategy, collaborating with Skello teams to adapt our product and processes, recruiting a top-notch sales team and leading sales efforts to secure our first clients and lay the foundation for Skello expansion in Italy.

You will be based in one of our two “hubs” (Paris or Barcelona) for an initial period of 9-12 months to launch the market and benefit from the best level of support from our Operational, Marketing and Product teams. After this initial period, once product market fit is proven, you will be relocating to Italy to get closer to our customers and open a local office. 

Your missions

Sales and Client leadership

Be the first salesperson in Italy, actively prospecting, pitching, and closing deals to secure our first clients.

Recruit, coach and scale a team of Sales to accelerate client acquisition.

Own monthly sales targets and inspire your team to exceed them, fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence and ownership.

Set-up processes to manage clients’ onboarding and lifecycle, attending key client meetings when needed and making sure our customers receive the best level of support. 

Market development

Conduct research to understand the Italian market dynamics, customer needs, and competitor landscape, and develop  a tailored go-to-market strategy.

Represent skello at key industry events and tradeshows. 

Track the key metrics of success for client acquisition and retention.

Internal foundations

Collaborate with Product & Tech teams to understand key customer needs and identify necessary product developments.

Collaborate with Marketing teams to define and implement our communication strategy in Italy. 

Work closely with Operations teams to set-up the tools and processes for your team to achieve its target.

Your profile

  • Proven sales leader: You have a strong track record in B2B SaaS sales, with at least 5 years of experience in Sales, Business Development or Company creation.
  • Leadership experience: You have experience in recruiting, training, and managing a high-performing sales team.
  • Market launching experience: You have successfully launched or scaled a product in a new market and are comfortable dealing with cross-functional topics (Product, Marketing and Ops especially).
  • Client-focused: You understand how to listen to clients’ needs and craft solutions that solve their pain points.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit: You are a hands-on self-starter who thrives in fast-paced environments and is willing to commit to a demanding project.
  • Market knowledge: You know the Italian market inside-out, including its business culture and regulatory environment.
  • Language: Fluent in Italian and English (French is a plus).
