We are looking for a new colleague for the role of IT CMDB Analyst at our newly established IT Asset Management (ITAM) Global Competence Centre (GCC) located in the Czech Republic. The ITAM GCC is responsible for the delivery of information to other GCCs within the Cyber Defense Center (CDC) program, and the administration of data regarding Group-wide IT assets (configuration items) using the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) in the ServiceNow platform.[1] There are 105 internal companies being supported across the whole Vienna Insurance Group, operating mainly in Central and Eastern Europe. The data are collected regularly by ServiceNow horizontal & ACC discovery, synchronized from various locally operated systems and from cloud providers, or provided manually by colleagues from VIG companies.

In this role, you will be directly responsible for reviewing and maintaining the integrity, completeness, and accuracy of data within the CMDB in cooperation with internal VIG companies. This role involves reviewing data quality, troubleshooting technical issues, supporting Group process adoption, and ensuring seamless operation of CMDB processes to support the organization’s IT configuration management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Regularly review CMDB data (CIs, attributes, and relationships) to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Address discrepancies with colleagues from local VIG companies
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to CMDB data (including data collection) and processes
• Collect inputs and requirements from local VIG companies regarding enhancement of CMDB, data, and/or processes
• Support colleagues from local VIG companies in accessing and maintaining CMDB data
• Assist in training users on CMDB processes and tools
• What you will need:
• Czech/Slovak – native speaker, English – working proficiency
• Basic knowledge of IT Configuration Management processes and/or ITIL practices
• Experience with data analysis and good knowledge of Excel
• Experience and working knowledge of IT infrastructure (hardware, virtualization, containerization, OS, application SW, public cloud services, etc.)
• Proficiency with CMDB tools and technologies (e.g., ServiceNow) is an advantage
• Experience with reporting tools (e.g., Power BI) is an advantage
