Full time - Paris

We are looking for a Lead Accountant to work with the Head of Finance to build out our accounting department. You will ensure that the company has accurate and timely financial reporting while implementing financial operating procedures across the organization. We need someone who is willing to roll up their sleeves and work both independently and as a leader.

Responsibilities

Unified Financial Systems & IFRS Transition:

  • Lead the integration of disparate ERP systems and the consolidation of individual charts of accounts across our entities into a unified framework. Oversee the transition from local GAAP to IFRS, ensuring consistent accounting policies across all entities

Financial Reporting & Process Management:

  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes—including fiat and crypto ledgers—while managing and optimizing accounts payable, expense reimbursements, and accounts receivable functions for accurate, timely reporting

Audit Coordination & Digital Asset Oversight:

  • Collaborate with external auditors to ensure audit readiness, manage digital asset reporting and reconciliations, and implement robust financial controls and policies

Process Improvement & Team Leadership:

  • Identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency improvements, and mentor the accounting team to build a scalable and high-performing department

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

  • 5+ years of accounting experience, acquired in Big 4 accounting firm and/or BtoB software company

  • Proven expertise in multi-entity operations including: transitioning from local GAAP to IFRS and consolidating financial statements across diverse entities

  • Deep understanding of accounting principles, GAAP, and IFRS

  • Experience overseeing AP, AR, and expense reimbursement functions

  • Familiarity with crypto accounting and the unique challenges of crypto flows

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

  • Proven leadership skills with a proactive, hands-on approach in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Fluency in English (mandatory) and French (preferred)

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience leading financial audits in partnership with external auditors

  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., Netsuite, Xero, or similar) implementation

  • CPA, DSCG or similar certification
