L-Acoustics is looking to hire its future Head of Design who will be responsible for the overall design, prototyping, and modelling of our premium product. This role requires a visionary leader with a strong background in industrial design, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for audio technology.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design team in creating innovative and aesthetically pleasing product designs.
Oversee the entire design process, from concept to final product, ensuring all designs meet the highest standards of quality and functionality.
Develop and refine mock-ups & prototypes, utilizing advanced modelling techniques and materials.
Collaborate with Development teams across R&D, Industrialization and Product Management teams to ensure designs are feasible and manufacturable.
Conduct market research to stay abreast of industry trends and incorporate new design elements and technologies.
Present design concepts and prototypes to stakeholders, incorporating feedback to refine and improve designs.
Manage project timelines and budgets, ensuring all design projects are completed on time and within budget.
Mentor and develop the team, fostering a creative and collaborative work environment.
Foster strong relationships with stakeholders and partners externally such as Design companies, Architecture companies
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in industrial design, Product Design, or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in industrial design, with a focus on audio products or consumer electronics.
Proven track record of leading design projects from concept to production.
Strong proficiency in CAD software and other design tools.
Excellent understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and prototyping techniques.
Exceptional creativity and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
