In the context of a new position, we are looking for a Software engineer with a focus on automation.
Your main mission will be :
Take ownership of designing, developing, and maintaining the Biofoundry's software infrastructure. Work with biology expert team members (designers, workflow developers, and data architects) to translate their needs into software infrastructure requirements.
Develop custom software for robotic workstations and data automation.
Develop solutions using our internal development environment and our Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) APIs.
Collaborate with other teams within R&D to interface our LIMS with others.
Troubleshoot software issues, using analytical tools to identify and document defects and participate in root cause analysis.
Animate our Biofoundry’s programming community, including other developers in the R&D department.
Conceive innovative software solutions that enable effective laboratory automation, ensuring the Biofoundry runs efficiently and reliably.
Participate in the Biofoundry Operational excellence by monitoring and maintaining permanent running services.
Master's degree in computer science, or related field.
Minimum of 6 years of experience in developing and maintaining software infrastructure.
Expertise in programming languages such as Python, C++ and SQL (others like JS, VBS, HTML or C# are also appreciated).
Experience with Git (Gitlab), API development, user interface UI design, Jupyter, web apps.
Experience in software development in Linux (Windows appreciated).
Experience with SQL and non-SQL databases.
