Announcement of the plans for MaiaSpace
Founded in 2022, MaiaSpace is a European space tech company that designs, develops and markets space transportation solutions for satellites.
The primary objective is to develop and prototype a reusable and eco-responsible mini-launcher, based on technologies and capabilities that link the agility of NewSpace with Legacy know-how.
MaiaSpace is a 100% subsidiary of ArianeGroup.

Operational service
MaiaSpace is the developing and manufacturing a mini-launcher including a reusable first stage.
The project was announced at the end of 2021. The first flight is scheduled for 2025, for operational entry into service in 2026. The project will exploit the technologies of the Prometheus rocket motor and the Themis demonstrator.
The launcher will be equipped with an optional orbital stage: Colibri, a small additional stage which will enhance launch services provided by MaiaSpace, including performance increase, orbiting of satellites, in-orbit maintenance, etc.
Teamwork is at the heart of how we work and all our employees share the same fundamental values: respect, humility, responsiveness and autonomy with a passion for technical excellence. We are open-minded, transparent, pragmatic, results-oriented and people-centric.
Proactive attitude to problem solving
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary profiles.
Ability to move quickly, be "solution focussed" and suggest new ideas.
Today's rockets currently in development could well be in operation until 2040 and beyond. We are convinced therefore of the importance of making design choices that minimize environmental impacts from here on forward.
Taking ecological aspects into account is an integral part of the culture and values upheld by MaiaSpace, which is a pioneer in the assessment and reduction of the environmental impacts of launchers.
We aim to develop a mini-launcher with the lowest impact on Earth's environment in its segment.
We made early technology choices to reduce the environmental impact of our launch service, and we've been evaluating those impacts across its entire lifecycle from day one of development. Based on these observations, we have implemented an eco-design strategy to reduce the impact as much as possible.
