Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced People & Culture Manager to oversee our second manufacturing facility in California, which consists of approximately 50 employees, both exempt and non-exempt. The HR Manager will manage daily HR operations, ensure compliance with local and federal regulations, and provide strategic HR support to leaders at the facility. This role also involves managing the needs of the office and acting as a key partner to leadership in driving organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
● Responsible for overseeing all HR-related initiatives at this location, including onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and offboarding.
● Develop people strategies to retain talent, coach employees and managers on HR policies, and ensure Prose’s mission and values are upheld daily.
● Act as a cultural advocate both internally and externally.
● Partner with our Talent Acquisition team to ensure we hire the right talent.
● Ensure compliance with federal, state (California) and local labor laws, safety
regulations, and company policies.
● Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, addressing
and resolving employee relations issues in a fair and consistent manner.
● Collaborate with other HR partners to develop and implement talent management
strategies, including training and development programs, to support employee growth
and retention.
● Act as a strategic partner to the Site Director, providing guidance and support for
organizational development, change management, and employee engagement initiatives.
● Oversee the implementation and adherence to workplace safety programs and protocols, ensuring compliance with OSHA and relevant regulations.
● Ensure the office is always equipped with necessary resources and supplies.
Qualifications:
● 5+ years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
● Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
preferred.
● Strong knowledge of California employment laws and regulations.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong
relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
● Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
● Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
● Strong organizational and time management skills.
● Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
The employee will be expected to be in the office 5 days a week. Candidates based in the Los Angeles area can expect a base salary that ranges from $95,000 to $110,000 + 10% target bonus with some flexibility. The base salary offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills and experience.
