The M&S Launch Leader Vaccines will be part of a new dedicated Global Launch team that will oversee and ensure the successful execution of new product launches.

Main responsibilities:

What:

  • The M&S Launch Leader is responsible for a portfolio of products grouped for example for a specific technology platform (Biologics (mammalian/microbial), Vaccines, Small Molecules)
  • The M&S Launch Leader is accountable for the creation of a clear E2E Product launch strategy and for delivering the fast-to-market launch in line with the M&S Strategy and Industry leading ambition
  • The M&S Launch Leader will manage multiple interfaces, influence global senior leaders, and lead cross-functional teams and manage complex E2E Global projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budget constraints
  • The M&S Launch Leader is accountable to identify, assess, and mitigate risks throughout the product launch process, including supply chain disruptions, regulatory challenges, and quality issues and feeds the overall Product Risks Matrix that is owned by the IFL. The M&S Launch Leader escalates launch risks when needed and proposes remediation pathways. The Industrial Franchise Leader acts as a strong sponsor of the New Product Launches
  • The M&S Launch Leader ensures the ‘single source of truth’ of launch status & risks, with proper reporting & communication tools. Communicates launch status and risks to M&S stakeholders, GBT, and commercial launch teams, while the Industrial Franchise Leader ensures an aligned communication to the Franchise
  • The M&S Launch Leader is a strong partner for the IFL, Strategic Platform Business Partner and Global Network Leader to feed the M&S Strat Plan and Product Resilience Plan for the new product challenges (including (material) dual sourcing strategy and business continuity) and will contribute to preparation of sourcing and/or Capex cases to ensure that the CAPEX plan and site capacities are fitting with the launch expectations and immediate resupply
  • The M&S Launch Leader manages the activities coming from 2nd Gen/LCM programs that need to be anticipated during the wave 1 of launches, to secure longer term supplies & performance (which will be transitioned to an Industrial Product Leader for the Life Cycle Management phase of the product and subsequent launches)

How:

  • The M&S Launch Leader leads cross functional teams (including Quality, Regulatory, Launch units, External Manufacturing, Supply Chain, CMC, MSAT etc) to ensure E2E-alignment and successful execution of the launch plan
  • The M&S Launch Leader will closely work together with the Industrial Franchise Leader, the Strategy Business Partners and the Global Network Sourcing to ensure the new Product Launch Strategy is aligned with the overall M&S strategy
  • The M&S Launch Leader is the point of contact for CMC, MSAT, External Manufacturing in support of the E2E launch activities for new products and leads or participates in the appropriate governances including the launch committee
  • The M&S Launch Leader supports the CMC PL to coordinate activities at M&S sites in support to clinical manufacturing and M&S activities needed to support submission in Wave 1 markets; and collaborates with CMC team to anticipate activities to support non-major country launches
  • The M&S Launch Leader supports the Launch Eco system initiatives and processes to drive continuous improvement and drive Launch excellence

About you

Experience:

  • Significant experience in managing pharmaceutical product launches
  • Leadership experience in a global organization, managing multiple interfaces and collaborating in matrix structures
  • Strong network & experiences through the different M&S GBUs is a plus
  • Experience in Manufacturing is a plus
  • Experience in a Site or Global leadership role is a plus

Technical skills:

  • University degree in Science, Engineering, Business Administration or similar.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and guidelines as well as relevant technologies.
  • Strong Project management.
