Automation and control systems combined with artificial intelligence have the potential to transform industries and buildings and increase operational efficiency and sustainability.Within the Schneider Toshiba Inverter Europe (STIE) business unit, the "Drives" activity develops variable speed drives and soft starters for rotating machines, designed to provide specialized servo-controls and flexible, scalable plant management. These products and services encompass solutions for the industrial, infrastructure and building sectors.Your role: Reporting to the head of the Hardware Validation department (Mourad) and working as part of a 14-strong team based in Pacy-Sur-Eure (27), you will be responsible for carrying out Hardware Certification tests in accordance with international standards and requirements (UL, CSA, CB-Scheme, CE …etc.). You will also take part in various internal and external audits by approved inspectors to ensure the accreditation of our test laboratories and maintain our certification and validation process at the highest level.Your missions:In the context of developing new offers, their evolutions, and/or maintaining existing offers:

  • Conduct tests to ensure the compliance of products and/or solutions with specifications and/or standards and/or associated requirements such as IECEE, UL, CSA, CE …etc.
  • Execute tests in your area (electrotechnics, mechanics, electronics, EMC) while respecting the functional needs expected by customers and the group's guidelines.
  • Take charge of, lead, and facilitate technical topics (uncertainties, technical issues, testing methods…).
  • Conduct certification tests under supervision of external auditors.
  • Provide decision on tests results.
  • Writes test report and associated deliverables documents (on form and with content)
  • Ensures capitalization of knowledge and know-how (feedback user)
  • Provides feedback to Project Test Leader on test progress, test execution and test results within project.
  • Has a right level of knowledge or Customer usage for Validation use-cases
  • Updates the test means reservation plan.
  • Create and follow Jira tickets.
  • Contribute and own actions within the laboratory continuous improvement plan.
  • Contribute to Test plan and Test strategy definition.
  • Technical referent of Hardware Test Engineers within EMC domains
  • Enriches the knowledge of architecture in Hardware domain (Support of Design team within investigation and verification phases)
  • Actively contributing to technical meetings and to Project Test Leader meeting
  • Report reviewer on EMC domain (content, QMS)
  • Review of quality documents link to test means (instruction application, uncertainty of measurement)
  • Shares his/her experience in communities within Drives centers and externally.
  • Propose technology evolutions in link with digital transformation.
  • Lead new technology deployment.
  • Follow the Laboratory best practices according to ISO IEC 17025:2017
Your profile:
  • Engineering or bachelor's degree on EMC, electronic, electrotechnics
  • With a minimum of 5 years of experience following training and experience in the field of EMC, electronic or electrotechnics engineering.
Your competences:
  • Strong technical experience in Certification Testing according to the international standards such as CB-Scheme, UL, CSA, IECEE, CE.
  • Strong technical experience on EMC Testing.
  • Strong understanding of customer application needs and their behaviors in the Industrial Automation domain
  • Ready to go through the Electrifier process to obtain level 1certification during the 1 year within the role, this enables you to certify and validate your skills and competencies.
  • Strong Knowledge on EMC standard: IEC 1000-4-XX
  • Strong Knowledge on EMC32 Software's
  • Strong Knowledge on Drives and Soft-Starters standard: IEC 61800-5-1, IEC 60947-1
  • Strong Knowledge on Functional Safety Tests and their related standards: IEC 61800-5-2, IEC 61000-6-7
  • Solid Knowledge on Test Equipment Calibration according to COFRAC and International Standards
  • Solid knowledge physical measure: Current, voltage, frequency, power, …
  • Knowledge on development process: Agile, Scrum, PMP, PEP …
  • knowledge of engineering tools: Rational Clear Quest, Jira, DevOps, GIT …
  • Knowledge on automatic test software: Test Stand, LabView …
  • Good understanding of verification and Validation product life cycle
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment and in a matrix project execution organization integrating Agile methods.
  • Networking capabilities both internally within Schneider-Electric and externally
  • A very good level of English read, written, and spoken because we are international.
