The project manager’s primary responsibility is to develop renewable energy projects (Wind, PV and storage) in Spain in compliance with internal procedures, good business practices and local legislation, in close collaboration with internal and external partners (eg. Engineering, legal and finance department, external lawyers etc), specifically but not limited to:
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Development of the design and action plan, taking into account all the necessary technical, legal, economic and social parameters, and implementation of all studies (environmental impact report, plans, financial analysis, etc.) for final design and building permit application.
Company representation to the local stakeholders (such as local municipalities, regional authorities and the media) during the preparation and realization of the energy project. The local integration of the project is part of your plan of action.
Follow-up of the negotiations on the installations of the energy project as required for the implementation of the construction with the landowners/tenants concerned and the municipalities
Organize the pre-selection of external engineering and engineering firms for the project design
Follow-up of the preliminary engineering (eg. the civil and electrical infrastructure)
Ensure timely completion and within budget and according to the project company’s H&S and ESG policies
Ensure adequate follow-up on project progress (a.o. planning and budget)
Ensure correct reporting towards the management, concerning project planning, budget and risk assessment
Ensure that the requirements of the building permits are met and fulfilled during the entire realization of the energy project
You have an engineering degree or any other technical qualification with equivalent through experience. A Masters degree in Renewable Energy or Equivalent training is an asset.
You have 5 to 7 years of significant experience in a similar environment and roles
You have experience in renewable energy project management in Spain, permitting procedures, grid connection applications, land acquisition, including the preparation and/or review of the documentation for Environmental Impact Assessment, a certification for PM follow-up (eg PMI or Prince) is an asset
You are able to read and understand technical drawings, single line diagrams, yield assessment reports etc. and challenge service providers.
Spanish is your mother tongue, but you have a good knowledge of English (B2 or above), both written and spoken, French is an asset. You have skills in project software management (e.g. Microsoft Project & Office) and
