Job Description
Reporting to the Environmental Process Manager, you will be responsible for a range of tasks enabling the Group's plants to comply with the regulations applying to their various discharges, both aqueous and gaseous. You will contribute to the Group's competitiveness by reducing investment and operating costs (more efficient, innovative processes, limiting water and energy consumption).
As an Process & project Engineer, your main tasks will be :
- Provide support to Group plants (pollution assessments, treatment simulations, proposals for suitable processes, etc.) in their choice and implementation of new treatment processes.
- Ensures on yours fields of expertise the complementary resources to support subsidiaries and transversal projects to allow them to be compliant regarding the regulations applying to their Waste Water (WW) and air emissions.
- Be the referent for concentration's processes (membranes systems with prefilters, NF/RO, multiple effects evaporation, MVR systems, potash salts crystallization.
- Take part in industrial trials linked to the improvement of a process or the installation of new equipment (pilot studies for sizing, participation in commissioning and acceptance).
- Take part in projects definition (SOW, PFD, CAPEX/OPEX pre-costing), then in detailed studies and contribute to the start-up of new installations. You define and maintain standards based on feedback from subsidiaries and on the evolution of available technologies.
- Draw up specifications for supplier consultation, and lead consultations and comparisons; you guarantee the quality of process choices in connection with the Process Manager.
- Take part in purchasing negotiations, from a technical point of view, with the Group CAPEX department and the purchasing department of the subsidiary concerned.
- Support Engineering Department project managers throughout equipment construction and acceptance (FAT, SAT, with participation in establishing tests protocols).
- Maintain a technology and regulatory watch in liaison with the relevant departments.
