Overview

Roundtable is seeking a skilled DevOps and DevSecOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will lead the transformation of our DevOps processes, driving the implementation of Kubernetes, enhancing our security protocols, significantly improving our Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and refining our access management strategies, etc.

Your efforts will help us scale our solution, achieve FinTech certifications, and prepare for the launch of new FinTech banking services. Security matters to us, and you will be instrumental in embedding security at every stage of our software development lifecycle through DevSecOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Kubernetes Implementation: Lead the transition to Kubernetes, ensuring efficient orchestration of our containerized applications.

• CI/CD Pipeline Improvement: Overhaul our CI/CD pipelines for increased efficiency, reliability, and speed.

• Access Management: Develop and enforce robust access management policies to ensure secure and efficient infrastructure access.

• Infrastructure Resilience: Enhance the resilience of our infrastructure through comprehensive monitoring, alerting, and incident response strategies.

• Templating and Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Use of Terraform, Helm, and other templating tools to automate and manage our infrastructure.

• Multi-Cloud Management: Implement and manage multi-cloud strategies to ensure redundancy and flexibility.

• Data Security: Manage encryption at rest and in transit, and establish effective backup strategies to safeguard our data.

• Scalability: Drive efforts to scale our infrastructure in line with business growth and technological advancements.

• Compliance and Certification: Help implement processes to achieve and maintain FinTech certifications, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. We are looking for new certifications in the coming months.

• DevSecOps Integration: Embed security into every phase of the development process, from planning to deployment, through DevSecOps practices.

• Cloud Infrastructure: Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, Serverless functions, Multi-cloud setups, & more.

• Application Layer: Node.js, Express, React, Next.js, GraphQL, & more.

• Data Layer: PostgreSQL, Prisma, GraphQL, Redis

• Testing: Playwright, Jest, Storybook for design system and regression testing, & more.

You’re a great match if

• You have 5+ years in DevOps/DevSecOps roles with a proven track record of managing and scaling complex infrastructure particularly on Google Cloud Platform.

• Kubernetes: Deep knowledge and experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.

• CI/CD: Expertise in designing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.

• IaC: Proficiency in Terraform, Helm, and other IaC tools.

• Security: Strong understanding of security best practices, including encryption, secure coding, and DevSecOps.

• Cloud Platforms: Experience with multi-cloud environments, particularly Google Cloud Platform.

• Backup and Recovery: Demonstrated ability to implement robust backup and disaster recovery solutions.

• Compliance: Familiarity with FinTech regulations and experience in achieving industry certifications.

• Team Collaboration: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote, asynchronous team environment.

• Problem-Solving: Innovative mindset with the ability to challenge and suggest new practices for continuous improvement.
