Descriptif du poste

Alice & Bob is developing the first universal, fault-tolerant quantum computer to solve the world’s hardest problems.

The quantum computer we envision building is based on a new kind of superconducting qubit: the Schrödinger cat qubit. In comparison to other superconducting platforms, cat qubits have the astonishing ability to implement quantum error correction autonomously!

We are at the forefront of the quantum race, competing with tech giants such as Google or IBM, and we are growing fast after securing  €100 million of funding in 2025 to develop our unique technology.

Currently 100+ and counting, between physicists, PhD students, engineers and experienced business professionals, we are united to reach our ambitious goal. Are you a quantum pioneer? Join us on a mission to reshape the future!

Alice & Bob is pioneering quantum processor units based on cat qubits. To successfully characterize and operate these quantum processors, a robust hardware environment needs to be established, including components like cryostats, cabling, and room-temperature control electronics. Whether delivering systems to external customers or installing new in-house testing setups, creating this hardware environment requires seamless collaboration between Alice & Bob's technical teams and external suppliers.

As a Program Manager for Hardware Integration, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth integration of hardware components into our systems, overseeing the development, coordination, and implementation of the necessary infrastructure to support our cutting-edge quantum processors.

Responsibilities:

  • Initial Definition and Coordination: Lead the process of collecting user needs, coordinating technical specifications, and conducting risk analysis for the different hardware components.
  • Design Coordination: Facilitate the design phase, ensuring effective communication and collaboration between internal teams and external partners.
  • Supply and Assembly: Work closely with both internal teams and suppliers to manage efficient assembly of hardware components.
  • Testing and Validation: Develop and execute a comprehensive validation plan for the entire system, ensuring all components function as required.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Oversee the documentation of the hardware system to ensure all processes, designs, and tests are adequately recorded.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all hardware systems meet applicable regulations, including CE marking, ROHS, and DEEE compliance.
  • Troubleshooting and Optimization: Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve any technical issues related to instrumentation or control electronics, ensuring continuous operational efficiency of the quantum processors.
  • Requirements:

  • A Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field (PhD is a plus).
  • Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in delivering hardware products or infrastructure.
  • Strong background in project management, particularly in hardware systems integration.
  • Extensive knowledge of systems engineering.
  • Experience with RF instrumentation and electronics is highly desirable.
  • Proven leadership experience, with a strong ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including software engineers, physicists, and hardware suppliers.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining thorough documentation of designs, testing, and processes.
  • Benefits:

  • 25-day vacation policy (as per French law) + RTT
  • Half of transportation cost coverage (as per French law), or yearly allowance for bike enthusiasts
  • Competitive health benefits with Helium/AXA
  • Meal vouchers with Swile, as well as access to a fully equipped kitchen
  • Parental benefits with crèche support
  • Flexible remote policy, up to 40 % a month
  • Language courses covered by the company
  • Mental health support with moka.care
