About the job

Job location: Paris, France or Brussels, Belgium. Only candidates with a valid work permit in the country for which the position resides will be considered.

Since Alma's creation in 2018, its growth has been exponential: every month, hundreds of new merchants adopt our solutions and thousands of new customers use Alma for the first time.

As of today, Alma works with 16300+ merchants across 10 different European countries, and the acquisition of new Mid-Market accounts in the international markets is one of our pivotal focuses. As an Account Executive Mid-Market for the Belgium market, you will not only support all merchants who express their wish to install Alma’s solutions and discover their own challenges but also play a crucial role in expanding our customer base and contribute directly to Alma’s sales success.

About the mission

As an Account Executive Mid Market working for the Belgium market, your main responsibilities include:

  • Managing the entire sales cycle (for both Outbound & Inbound) of new Mid-Market accounts (turnovers between €10M-€250M) from prospecting, leads qualification to negotiation and contract signature, and primarily engaging with C-Level Executives
  • Representing Alma at trade shows and conferences in BENELUX and Europe
  • Contributing to the optimisation of internal processes to support Alma's scalability
  • Optimising Alma take rate of activated merchants
  • Organising and tracking sales activities via CRM

About you

You will be a good fit for the role if you have:

  • Experience: you have between 1 and 4 years of relevant experiences in similar functions (internships & apprenticeships excluded) and selling B2B software solutions
  • Language: fluency in Dutch and English is mandatory
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Commercial skills: you are at ease in managing the entire sales cycle, in negotiation & closing discussions
  • Strong organisational and structured approach to understand the complexities of retailers’ needs and a high level of accountability and methodical progression to ensure follow-ups with prospects until closure

  • You have experience(s) in the Payment / BNPL / E-commerce industry
  • You are proficient in using tools such as Salesforce, SalesLoft, or Modjo for efficient lead management and outreach
