About AQEMIA

AQEMIA is a next-gen pharmatech company generating one of the world's fastest-growing drug discovery pipeline.

Our mission is to design fast innovative drug candidates for dozens of critical diseases, such as immuno-oncology.

Our unique approach leverages quantum-inspired physics algorithms to power generative AI in designing novel drug candidates—without relying on experimental data.

We already delivered several drug discovery successes within our internal pipeline and through collaborations with pharmaceutical companies. Our most advanced programs are currently in vivo optimization.

The Role

As a Senior Full-Stack Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in building and improving the platform that powers Aqemia’s drug discovery efforts. This is the first role of its kind at Aqemia, meaning you will have significant influence over engineering culture, best practices, and technical decisions. You will be responsible for aligning engineering efforts across the company and ensuring our platform is robust, scalable, and efficient.

  • Shape the engineering culture, defining best practices and ensuring high-quality code
  • Act as a technical leader within the engineering team, making key architectural and stack decisions
  • Work across the stack, from cloud infrastructure (AWS) to application development, ensuring seamless integration and performance
  • Support and guide other engineers, fostering collaboration and technical excellence
  • Operate in an Agile environment, participating in daily sprints and iterative development cycles
  • What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience as a software engineer in an engineering organisation of 20+ engineers
  • Strong full-stack development experience with expertise in Python, FastAPI (or similar backend frameworks), SQL, Vue.js/React (or similar frontend framework)
  • Proficiency in cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred, but other cloud experience is welcome)
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes and DevOps principles (CI/CD, infrastructure as code) is a plus
  • Proven ability to lead and deliver technical projects from start to finish
  • Experience in designing and architecting complex software systems
  • Ability to balance quality and fast iterations in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong collaboration skills; ability to interact effectively with technical stakeholders
  • Preferred mindset
  • You are eager to play an active role in contributing to Aqemia’s strategy to develop drugs for patients.
  • You will bring strong knowledge and skills to inspire and coach brilliant people from diverse backgrounds.
  • You are keen to solve tough problems on issues that truly matter, with a proactive and a can-do attitude.
  • You thrive on working collaboratively in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary environment that keeps everyone on track.
  • Our recruitment process :
