As a Product Designer (UX Designer) at 42, you’ll play a critical role in creating exceptional educational experiences for tens of thousands of learners globally. You will be responsible for leading the user research, designing user-centric features central to 42’s pedagogy, including student interfaces, project management systems, evaluation tools, and learner progression. This is an opportunity to shape the digital education journey and make a tangible impact on students worldwide.
We are looking for someone passionate about design, user experience, and social impact. You will collaborate closely with Product Managers, Tech Leads, and Developers in an agile environment, adopting best practices in UX design, research, prototyping, and user testing.
This role is a CDD of 1 year.
Key Responsibilities:
User-Centric Design: Lead the user research necessary to perform product discovery for our squads, formalize insights, and share them across the organization.
Prototyping and Testing: Conduct usability testing to validate design solutions and continuously improve the learner experience. Translate insights into intuitive designs, wireframes, and high-fidelity prototypes using tools like Figma.
Agile Collaboration: Work closely with Product Managers and development teams, participating actively in agile rituals (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives).
Accessibility & Inclusivity: Ensure designs are accessible, inclusive, and cater to diverse learner needs.
Continuous Improvement: Monitor product experience performance, gather user feedback, and recommend design improvements based on data-driven insights.
Required Skills & experience:
At least 4 years of professional experience in UX/UI Design and Product Design.
Proven expertise in conducting user research, interviews, usability testing, and synthesizing insights clearly across the organization.
Extensive experience with Figma, including proficiency in building and managing comprehensive Design Systems.
Strong familiarity with agile methodologies and collaborative work within agile teams.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate design concepts and decisions to diverse stakeholders.

On-site presence at least 3 days per week in our locations in Paris’ 17th arrondissement and temporarily Saint-Ouen—where our learners are!
Fluent in French and English.
