Your work environment:

The headquarters of the AXA Group (GIE AXA) brings together our corporate activities. It provides guidance and support to subsidiaries around the world, to ensure the coordination and monitoring of the Group's global strategy, the application of its standards, the consistency of commercial approaches and the sharing of best practices. The headquarters gathers approximately 1000 employees and is distinguished by its strong international culture (45 nationalities), which makes it a rich and stimulating place to work.

Within the Group, you will join the Internal Audit team which helps the organisation accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes.

Within this Department, you will be part of the Data Analytics Center of Excellence who is in charge of developing the usage of analytics to improve the effectiveness of audit testing. The team’s activities range from developing simple analytic dashboards that automate controls, up to advanced technics such as process mining or text mining through Generative AI, covering the full spectrum of business processes within AXA (procurement, claims, finance, etc.)

 

 Your job and daily missions:

Job Purpose

To develop, maintain and run Internal Audit’s advanced analytics & artificial intelligence solutions; supporting and scaling their usage to empower audit teams throughout the group to provide more impactful and trusted audit insights, and thereby enhance IA’s global achievement of its mission.

Key Accountabilities 

  • Develop and maintain innovative applications to facilitate the work of auditors globally, leveraging technologies such as Large Language Models (LLM) and Natural Language Processing (NLP).
  • Stay abreast of the latest developments in technology to drive a culture of innovation, streamline audit processes, and foster collaboration within the audit team.
  • ­Apply advanced analytics and data science techniques to audit, including the analysis of unstructured data, outlier identification via machine learning, and process mining.
  • ­Create analytic scripts and dashboards for use by the wider audit family, enhancing audit delivery on standard datasets (procurement, finance, claims, etc.).
  • ­Support auditors globally in key phases of their data analysis, providing advanced data analytics/science expertise on-the-spot.

  • ­Seeks and acts on feedback regarding the impact of assets delivered and audits supported, which are positively recognised by relevant management.
  • ­Evidence of working proactively with the wider audit family on understanding their needs, leading to increase usage and impact of Generative AI and analytics during the audits.
  • ­Evidence own skills and competencies are developed.

  • Support and influence management globally in better managing their key risks in areas under review.

Key Interfaces 

  • ­Internally, you will interact with Internal Audit staff in AXA entities worldwide, as well as other member of the Data & AI Experts Family in Group Functions.
  • ­Externally, you may interact with vendors and peers.

  • The position necessitates navigating through a wide range of business knowledge in addition to the essential technical skills required to effectively carry out job responsibilities. This encompasses a thorough understanding of the various business processes being audited, associated risks and controls, as well as the fundamental principles guiding our audit methodology.
  • The role demands an active desire to acquire a diverse range of technical skills, particularly in the latest advancements in Artificial Intelligence, while navigating the organizational frameworks that govern the implementation of these technologies within the AXA Group.
  • The role requires the position holder to manage multiple and diverse projects and stakeholders simultaneously, exercising autonomy in task prioritization while aligning with long-term objectives.
  • ­Furthermore, the ability to communicate effectively, ensuring clarity and transparency, is vital for enabling auditees and fellow auditors to comprehend the sometimes complex issues at stake; as well as the ability to convey with empathy challenging yet constructive messages.

Profil recherché

Main Competencies and Experiences 

Experience:

  • ­At least 4-years’ experience as a Data Scientist or equivalent
  • ­Strong expertise in Python development
  • Experience with Natural Language Processing, incl. Generative AI / Large Language Models
  • ­Some experience with the development of Data Applications, incl. their scaling and industrialisation, would be a plus
  • ­Some experience in data analytics and data visualisation (Power BI) would be a plus
  • ­Some experience, within Financial Services / Insurance, in one or more of, Internal Audit, Internal Controlor Consulting would be a plus
