Your work environment

The headquarters of the AXA Group (GIE AXA) brings together our corporate activities. It provides guidance and support to subsidiaries around the world, to ensure the coordination and monitoring of the Group's global strategy, the application of its standards, the consistency of commercial approaches and the sharing of best practices. About the Team

AXA Group, a global leader in insurance and asset management, has launched AXA EssentiALL, its inclusive insurance business to make insurance more accessible and affordable for 4 billion low to middle-income customers worldwide. Initially focused on Asia, Africa, and Latin America, the initiative has since expanded to better protect modest income customers in Europe.

As part of AXA's strategic plan "Unlock the Future," the goal is to reach 20 million underinsured individuals worldwide by 2026. With a team of global experts and local teams, AXA EssentiALL today covers 14 million clients in 14 countries, contributing to financial inclusion and sustainable development. The team operates from AXA's head office, GIE AXA, with over 880 employees from 50 nationalities, embodying a strong international culture.

Job Purpose:

Join the global AXA EssentiALL team to develop inclusive insurance products and services in mature markets, particularly focusing on European Markets, with the goal of driving growth and maximizing social impact and value delivered to customers.

This role requires close interaction and leveraging the expertise of local inclusive insurance leads, AXA European Markets leadership team, and AXA EssentiALL cross-functional experts to ensure success.

Key missions:

Strategy Steering: Work closely with the Head of Partnerships & Innovation, the European Markets Lead and local entities to steer inclusive insurance strategy and business development in at least two of AXA’s European Markets, aiming to support the delivery of targets.

Strategic Partnership Development: Identify, test, and scale innovative business and distribution models as well as strategic partnerships to accelerate inclusive insurance with a focus on redesigning products and services to match customers’ needs through inclusive insurance criteria.

Thought Leadership and Capacity Building: Drive thought leadership projects and impact studies to position AXA in policy debates around financial inclusion and financial health, support capacity-building and cross-fertilization among AXA markets, and ensure replication of successes and sharing of learnings from failures with other entities.

Profil recherché

  •           Around 10 years’ experience in an insurance company, ideally in strategic development, partnerships, or product innovation roles, with a strong preference for experience in a large European insurer.
  •           Proven experience in insurance business in at least one of the European geographies (UK and Ireland, Belgium, Germany, Spain, Italy, Switzerland).
  •         A creative thinker with a passion for innovation and a commitment to challenging traditional insurance practices, along with a 'Customer first' mindset and understanding of the impact of being customer-centric.
  •          Demonstrated strong organization, presentation, and conviction skills to build trusted relationships and achieve objectives with C-Suite leaders both internally and externally.
  •          Confidence to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and engagements, with a proven ability to break silos between teams, navigate competing interests, and drive change in a large organization.
  •          Ability to navigate multi-cultural environments with different ways of working and fluency in English is a must, with professional-level proficiency in a second language such as German, Spanish, or Italian. French is a plus but not mandatory.
  •           Genuine interest in financial inclusion and business with social impact, coupled with a willingness to travel in Europe for short-term engagements.

This role inherently requires a combination of strong business and people skills, making it a job within an intrapreneurial business where both skill sets are equally essential to success.
