Your work environment:

The headquarters of the AXA Group (GIE AXA) brings together our corporate activities. It provides guidance and support to subsidiaries around the world, to ensure the coordination and monitoring of the Group's global strategy, the application of its standards, the consistency of commercial approaches and the sharing of best practices. The headquarters gathers approximately 1000 employees and is distinguished by its strong international culture (45 nationalities), which makes it a rich and stimulating place to work.

About the role:

You will join the Group Sustainability team within the Global Communications Department as our Sustainability Project Officer. Our team plays a crucial role in driving sustainability within the company. Our missions include strategic influence, overseeing strategy implementation, and ensuring coherent sustainability disclosures. We work closely with various functions within AXA to achieve these goals, making sustainability a top priority across the organization.

We have a global reach, impacting AXA Group and its entities across 50+ countries. With leadership support, the team drives operational effectiveness and controls over sustainability-related topics. This includes developing initiatives, action plans, and KPIs, as well as monitoring progress and representing AXA within key sustainability alliances and organizations worldwide.

Your mission:

  • As part of the Environmental and Social Impact team within the Group Sustainability you will focus on Social, Climate, and Nature aspects.
  • Contribute to strategy definition and project scoping through research, benchmark, and analysis.
  • Work on project objectives, timeline, roles & responsibilities, and deliverables, while embedding sustainability in core projects.
  • Coordinate of voluntary and regulatory Group disclosures.
  • Produce and consolidate Sustainability information for external stakeholders.
  • Manage strategic projects such as the Women in Insurance Program, climate and nature investment and underwriting policies, and the development of new commitments.
  • Contribute to the success of AXA Group's involvement in sustainability initiatives like TNFD, Act4Nature, etc.

Profil recherché

  • Advanced degree, preferably with a specialisation in sustainability or related expertise such as gender studies, climate, biodiversity, or social impact
  • 3 years of experience, preferably in financial services or consulting; public sector or NGO experience also considered
  • Interest in or prior experience working on sustainability-related recommendations, standards, and reporting frameworks is advantageous
  • Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English and French
  • Dynamic, proactive, and forward-looking mindset
  • Strong critical analysis skills, adept at handling written information and data, and effective communication
  • Excellent team player with the ability to work in cross-functional teams and in a multicultural environment
  • Demonstrates autonomy, multitasking ability, prioritization skills, and timely delivery
