We are hiring a Solution Engineer.

BuyCo is growing, and we are looking to replace our dear Hugo, Solution Engineer, the #1 employee of the company. He joined BuyCo in Jan 2016 😱

You will join the Sales team composed of: 

  • Benoit, co-founder & Head of Sales,

  • Antoine, VP Sales for South Europe & Asia,

  • Ana-Carolina, Account Executive for South America,

  • Paul, Account Executive for North Europe,

  • Avishek, Account Executive for the US.

You will report directly to Benoit and work hand in hand with all Account Executives and Local Business Partners (Pascal, Arnaud, Markus).

What you will do on a daily basis

Core tasks:

  • Collaborate with the Sales team on client knowledge and discovery.

  • Describe client processes before and after BuyCo (As is / to be).

  • Prepare client demos.

  • Respond to RFPs from a technical dimension.

  • Evaluate current operational processes to enhance efficiency and productivity using BuyCo.

  • Assess both current and future processes, procedures, and their practical applications. And keep documentation up to date.

Other tasks:

  • Know our competitors and identify technical differences with BuyCo.

  • Punctual help during the ramp-up phase, liaising with Customer Onboarding Managers.

  • Spend time with Customer Onboarding Managers and Product Managers, gaining technical expertise on the product, understanding how clients use it, and the roadmap.

Your path at BuyCo

We imagine (ideally) a journey like this one:

- 4 months after your arrival: Ability to assist a Sales team member in a complex demo.

- 8 months after your arrival: Involvement in all strategic deals of the commercial team (excluding the US).

- 1 year after your arrival: Complete expertise in the platform and competitive solutions.


Profil recherché

What BuyCo brings to the table

  • Experience in the SaaS / LogTech ecosystem and the possibility to be the owner of your own perimeter. If you share our enthusiasm for maritime transport / logistics, you will just love working here 🙏

  • A strategic role, acting as a pivot between many teams, both internally and externally 🌉

  • Working in an international context, collaborating internally with individuals from diverse backgrounds worldwide 🌐

The “ideal” profile we are looking for

  • Near-native English, able to understand all nuances and technical jargon. French is a plus but not mandatory.

  • Advanced Ocean Transportation knowledge, as Presales of course, but also as a Project Manager 🚢

  • Curiosity about digital issues 👀

  • Rigor & empathy.

Your profile will stand out if:

You have experience in different type of companies (Freight Forwarding, Shipping Lines, Shippers)

You have a dual expertise: Tech / SaaS & Ocean Transportation 😍

You had customer facing experiences.

Compensation, location, remote policy and other details:

Compensation: between 52 and 62K per year base + 10k bonus

Flexible remote work options: fully remote / hybrid remote / fully on-site, you choose!
As a reminder, we have offices in Marseille (HQ) and in Paris.

Déroulement des entretiens

Step 1️⃣: Interview with Cyril, Talent Acquisition Manager (30min)

Step 2️⃣: Interview with Antoine, VP Sales, to check your maritime transport knowledge and background (45min)

Step 3️⃣: Live “role play” interview with Benoit - Founder and Head of Sales & Hugo, actual Solution Engineer (1h, nothing to prepare!)
