Creative Strategy at BuzzBrothers

Your role at Buzz Brothers

We are looking for our next Senior Creative Strategist, to join the existing team and support our Swiss and international clients. Under the supervision of the Creative Strategy Director, you will work with the various departments in the agency, in particular with fellow Creatives, Account Directors and Strategists.

Your primary responsibility will be to develop and present creative concepts in response to client briefs, guaranteeing the strategic, narrative and creative relevance of each resulting proposal. This is a high-energy role, involving exciting projects spanning from branding to events, advertising to digital in which your role will be to guarantee the brand tone of voice, story and editorial line are respected - and playfully refined!

A day in the life of a Creative Strategist at BuzzBrothers

Based on the creative brief by Account Directors & Strategists, you ensure the creativity of our response. Communications campaigns, movie scripts, content series… Whatever the final deliverable(s), you play a pivotal role in establishing the Big Idea that will guide the creative assets.

From this overarching concept, you work hand-in-hand with creatives to ensure the development of qualitative, clear and original ideas. Your own scope includes:

  • Organizing and participating in creative brainstorming sessions.

  • Ideating and developing the Big Idea.

  • Building the creative response: explaining the Big Idea, introducing the resulting creative routes, developing the creative principles, writing narratives & rationales to help sell the creative concepts.

  • Co-creating the client presentation material: whether it’s a workshop or a slide document, you’re the guardian of the “creative flow”.

  • Following-up on the creative production, to ensure the concept is alive and solid throughout the later phases of creative work

Depending on the scale of the project, you may also write specific pieces of content: brand and product manifestos, advertising claims, social media content.

When you’re not writing yourself, you lead our team of copywriters to deliver on the creative idea and decline it across various assets.

Soon enough, you co-present the creative work to clients. You’re able to do so in English — and ideally in French as well.


Profil recherché

Many roads lead to Creative Strategy, but we all have some things in common:

  • A creative mindset: a desire to think outside the box, to cross references and to think everything is possible.

  • A strategic brain: the need to anchor the team’s creative intuitions in rational thinking.

  • A team spirit - it’s all about delivering ideas together, so if you thrive through collaboration, this is the place for you.

  • Although this isn’t a copywriting job, we share a love for writing, whether it’s quick, snappy, advertising copy or long-form, editorial content.

  • Good communication skills, with an appetite for fast-paced and flexible environments (aka “agency life” ;)). “Proactivity” “3rd round of feedback” and “prioritization” are no-brainers to us

Requirements:

  • 6 to 10 years experience in communication roles including concept and copywriting

  • English professional working proficiency - French is a (big) plus

  • EU resident or Swiss-permit holder
