What do we offer?
Organs on Chip, or micro physiological systems (MPS), have the potential to accelerate the discovery of new treatments and replace animal models. At Cherry Biotech, we have developed a new device called CubiX, which can control the physical parameters of the cellular environment.
Mission
Service activities constitute a relevant part of the work carried out in our biological facility. In this context you will learn how to build complex and advanced organs-on-chip models and contribute to generate high quality experiments and reports.
Your main tasks during the internship:
● Assist and perform experiments in a quality control setting.
● Generate high quality data, analyze and interpret the results.
● Report all results on our eLab notebook and communicate them through oral presentations.
● Participate in other general lab activities.
Main skills expected to be acquired at the end of the Cherry experience:
● Development of a good theoretical and practical knowledge about advanced in-vitro models and MPS (micro physiological systems).
● Learn to perform experiments in a quality controlled and digitalized laboratory.
● Effective communication of results to a general or specialized audience.
● Improve your biology technical skills.
What we are looking for:
● Students enrolled in Cellular Biology/Biotechnology/Biomedical Engineering or Master diploma.
● Previous experience(s) in biology laboratory is highly appreciated.
● Fluent English speaker with good writing skills is mandatory.
● Rigorous, meticulous and well organized.
