As a Back-End Software Engineer of the Scan Team, you will be in charge of designing the essential technical elements for the operation of the DataGalaxy SaaS platform, recommending solutions, and providing technical support. This team is responsible for building integrations between database platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc) and our platform so our customers can easily import metadata from their databases to our platform.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze the existing architecture, understand our current roadmap and make it evolve in line with our scalability goals
Developing technical solutions to meet functional needs;
Following the development of all database integration projects;
Writing the necessary technical documentation for skill transfer;
Participating in the implementation of the testing strategy (TDD, unit tests, acceptance tests, integration tests, e2e tests);
Helping maintain code quality, organization, and automation
Participating in the corrective maintenance of the application (bug fixes);
Ensuring the technical maintenance of the application (library updates, refactoring, etc.);
Mentoring other engineers on the team;
🌟 Profile
Strong Experience in C# .Net
Experience building and maintaining node.JS applications
Experience with Java/Kotlin is a major plus
Relational databases and SQL principles
Knowledge of version control concepts with Git
Understanding of the principle of unit tests/acceptance tests/e2e tests
Knowledge of cloud environments (deployment, architecture, etc.)
Understanding of agile development approaches
Strong interest in clean code (SOLID, KISS, YAGNI, design patterns, clean architecture, etc.)
Algorithmic knowledge
Knowledge of entity framework a plus
Proficiency in English
