Deezer is seeking a skilled and experienced Digital Advertising Projects Lead to manage and deliver key digital advertising projects. This role focuses on driving operational efficiency, enhancing the performance of Deezer’s digital advertising ecosystem, and optimizing data usage for audience segmentation and activation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the relationship with external partners for the maintenance of Deezer’s ad tech stack and will work closely with the internal data team to leverage audience data across ad platforms. Reporting directly to the Director of Ad Operations, this is a central role in optimizing Deezer’s advertising infrastructure.

Your role:

  • Lead digital advertising projects:
    • Take ownership of digital ad projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they align with the company’s business and operational goals.
    • Oversee the implementation and integration of ad tech solutions (SSPs, DSPs, Ad Servers) and work with relevant teams to drive successful adoption.
    • Manage project timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure smooth and timely project delivery.
    - Optimize processes and workflows:
    • Evaluate current ad operations processes and identify opportunities for improvement to increase efficiency and performance.
    • Collaborate with the AdOps team to streamline workflows and improve overall operational output.
    - Drive innovation through technology and data:
    • Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging digital advertising technologies, proposing relevant tools and platforms that enhance Deezer’s ad ecosystem.
    • Work closely with the internal data team to extract audience data, segment it for advertising purposes, and activate it through Deezer’s ad platforms (Adserver, SSP).
    • Ensure the seamless integration of new technologies that optimize revenue streams and improve advertising efficiency.
    - Cross-functional collaboration and partner management:
    • Serve as the main liaison between internal teams (AdOps, Sales, Data) and external partners during project execution.
    • Manage the relationship with Deezer’s external partners responsible for the maintenance and optimization of the company’s ad tech stack.
    • Regularly communicate project updates, potential risks, and performance metrics to the Director of Ad Operations and other stakeholders.
    - Data-driven approach:
    • Leverage data and analytics tools to track project performance, making adjustments as needed to ensure objectives are met.
    • Use insights from data to make recommendations for process improvements and technology enhancements.
       


Profil recherché

  • 5+ years of experience in digital project management, with a focus on digital advertising or ad operations.

  • Strong understanding of the digital advertising landscape, including programmatic advertising, direct media buying, and ad tech platforms (SSP, DSP, Ad Servers).

  • Development background with experience in common ad tech programming languages (e.g., JavaScript, HTML/CSS, Python).

  • Strong proficiency in managing SQL queries to extract, segment, and activate audience data for advertising campaigns.

  • Experience in working with data teams to leverage first-party data and audience insights in advertising platforms.

  • Excellent project management skills, with experience managing multiple projects simultaneously using tools such as Jira, Trello, or Asana.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and use it to drive project decisions and improvements.

  • Strong communication skills, capable of clearly articulating technical concepts to non-expert stakeholders.

  • Familiarity with ad operations tools and platforms, with a focus on optimizing revenue through technology.

  • Experience managing external partners responsible for ad stack maintenance and optimization.

  • Proficiency in French and English, with a third language being a plus.
