Our department delivers build (projects) and run (support) services for the main DHL website, www.dhl.com. To enhance the functionality of the existing platform, we have formed a team that delivers microservices based on business needs. This team consists of 6 members located in the Czech Republic and India.

As a Microservices Architect, you will play a key role in the design, implementation, and management of our microservices. Your expertise in web application development will be instrumental in driving our team forward and in further designing and improving the setup of our microservices.

Ready to embark on the journey? Here’s what we are looking for:

• Ability to guide architecture, design, development and operation discussions and decisions; familiarity with software design patterns
• Knowledge of Spring boot framework
• Proven experience with Java
• Proficiency in advanced Git workflows, code review processes, and branch management
• Understanding CI/CD processes
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker, including orchestration platforms like Kubernetes (or alternatives) and Content Delivery Networks (CDN), preferably Akamai
• Experience with MS Azure (or equivalent)

In the past 20 years, I have worked in games development, leading teams working on Bohemia Interactive games Arma, TakeOn, DayZ and its military training application VBS. Starting in 2024 I joined DHL IT Services newly formed teams to manage development of web applications for a global logistics company.
