About the Role

The position will be based in Kunheim, Alsace in our R&D center.

In this R&D center, a new pilot line will be installed as of Q1/2025. The line will produce new base tissue grades by utilizing partly new process technologies. The development aim is to develop and validate a new manufacturing process that allows to significantly reduce the manufacturing CO2 footprint.

The role starts as a Start-Up Leader and emerges into a process engineer/leader role within R&D Tissue.

What You Will Do

  • Ensure Manufacturing Readiness and drive the overall action plan to ensure an efficient start-up of the pilot line,

  • Collaborate closely with functions like R&D, Technology, and Product Development,

  • Drive the overall improvement/action plan for the line during start-up,

  • Support and train the operation team to run and own the line,

  • Address safety, quality, and performance issues properly,

  • Lead the action plan to drive loss elimination and secure punch list actions related to specific losses,

  • Mitigate risks and execute FMEA actions before the installation completion of the pilot line,

  • Identify and act on opportunities and threats of the project, prepare back-up plans,

  • Coordinate the overall validation plan of the production system from Vendor-Acceptance test to project end,

Who You Are

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in papermaking or with a minimum of 5-year experience in paper production, ideally in Tissue industry,

  • The job is also open for candidates with extensive experience in Tissue in a similar role,

  • You have already improved machines or implemented changes that have had a major impact on the manufacturing process,

  • You are creative, you like to test new solutions and you enjoy taking on challenges,

  • You are fluent in English.
