Job Description

Within the global underwriting & pricing team part of the global insurance team of Europ Assistance Group, you will contribute to the development of the pricing competence center. You will be responsible for establishing pricing methodologies, standards and tools across Assistance, and Insurance products in both B2C and B2B2C markets.

This role will be instrumental in enhancing pricing capabilities across the organization, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and innovation in pricing approaches.

Responsibilities:

Pricing Model Development & Enhancement

  • Develop and maintain pricing segmentation models using (GLMs) and other advanced actuarial techniques.
  • Continuously improve existing pricing models and develop new models to enhance risk assessment and underwriting decisions.
  • Ensure pricing methodologies and pricing segments are aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead the efforts to develop pricing tools to be used across the different entities.

Pricing Standards & Governance

  • Define and implement pricing standards, methodologies, and best practices across the different EA entities.
  • Oversee model development and maintenance to support underwriting decisions and business strategy.
  • Drive pricing consistency across different lines of business and markets.

Training, Coaching & Collaboration

  • Provide coaching, guidance, and training to local pricing teams to enhance technical capabilities and ensure best practices.
  • Act as a key liaison between local and central teams, ensuring alignment on pricing strategies.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration between pricing teams.

Systems & Tools Development

  •  Contribute to Group initiatives related to Product and Pricing Standardization, two key pre-requisites for the implementation of the new core insurance platform by working on the rating standardization structure.
  • Manage relationships with various pricing platforms vendors, ensuring smooth integration and performance optimization.


Preferred Experience

  • Minimum 5 to 10 experience years in actuarial pricing within insurance, auto, or assistance sectors.
  • You have a strong technical background in actuarial science or insurance.
  • Strong background in GLMs, machine learning, and predictive modeling.
  • Proficiency in actuarial software and tools such as R, Python, Emblem, Akur8
  • Organized and autonomous: you will have to manage different topics and activities at the same time
  • Ability to drive pricing standardization across different markets and work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Strong ability to translate complex pricing concepts into actionable insights for non-actuarial stakeholders
  • Proactive and relationship building oriented, driven by curiosity and personal initiative
  • You are willing to work in an international environment in close collaboration with the commercial team and willing to be exposed to our partners
  • You have a very good level of English.
