The Network Security Engineer designs, builds and administers security systems to secure Evernex enterprise network infrastructure. They protect systems from cyber threats, including bugs, malware, and hacking attempts. The Network Security Engineer identifies existing issues and build safeguards to avoid future threats.

Mission:

• Ensuring the smooth operation of the global internal IT infrastructure
• Ensuring high-performance connectivity of the global branches to enable smooth operations
• Technical organization, provision, implementation and updating of the internal IT infrastructure
• Monitoring and maintenance of the IT infrastructure
• Ensuring the backup concept and monitoring the quality and status of backups
• Ensuring data security / data protection (firewall, switching, monitoring and cloud security)
• Training employees in the use of the infrastructure provided
• Active threat monitoring of IT infrastructure and network
• Reporting of security incidents
• Supporting the definition of IT infrastructure and network standards
• Close cooperation and training of the Build & Run Service departments
• Collaboration with service providers
• Collaboration with suppliers

Experience:

• Degree in computer science, electrical/communications engineering or completed training as an IT specialist (m/f/d) for system integration or equivalent training
• Several years of professional experience in comparable tasks, especially in troubleshooting and administration in the areas of firewall, switching, monitoring and cloud security
• Knowledge and experience in the creation and implementation of emergency concepts and backup scenarios
• Good knowledge and experience in the administration of firewall systems
