Position Overview:

As part of our company’s growth strategy, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Web/API QA Automation Specialist. This role is instrumental in ensuring the quality and reliability of our web and API solutions.

Key Responsibilities of the QA Automation Specialist

  • Develop and maintain automation frameworks for web and API testing, ensuring comprehensive test coverage.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and develop testing strategies.
  • Ensure that automated tests are integrated into the CI/CD pipeline for continuous quality assurance.
  • Conduct regular testing of web applications and APIs to detect and troubleshoot issues early in the development process.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members in best practices for QA automation.

Essential Skills and Expertise

  • 5+ years of experience in QA automation, particularly in testing web applications and APIs.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript for writing automation scripts.
  • Experience with automation tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Postman for API testing.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD principles and experience with tools such as Jenkins or GitLab.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, able to liaise effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Knowledge of cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience with performance testing and tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies and frameworks like Scrum or Kanban.
