The main objective of the Retail Merchandising & Planning Team is to ensure a singular and coherent product assortment in the Hermès stores for the 16 Métiers in order to achieve sales objectives and surprise our customers. This position directly reports to the Retail Merchandising Manager Hermès Benelux Nordics based at the Brussels Head Office. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the business for the subsidiary on Fashion Accessories (Fashion Jewellery, Belts, Hats and Gloves), Silk and Perfumes & Beauty.Main responsibilities1. Product Offer & Buyings

  • Propose a buying strategy and support physical stores in their freedom of buying to ensure a unique but coherent offer that will answer to their customers' needs and enhance the store identities, with a good balance between novelties and bestsellers carry over.
  • Identify the potential of the Product Offer in all the boutiques through a good knowledge of clients and competitors online and offline.
  • Collaborate with Sales & Demand Planning to the OTB's construction and reorders
  • Brief, guide and support the Store Managers with adhoc tools and information for seasonal buying sessions.
  • Follow-up on deliveries in close collaboration with Supply Planning to secure sales performance but also ensure on time launch, impactful product offer & VM stories while keeping stock coverage under control for each metier.
  • Collaborate with Supply & Demand Planning on stock rebalancing and PSI offer update
2. Analysis and KPIs follow-up
  • Monitor sales performance through both quantitative analyses and qualitative feedback on collections from store teams.
  • Produce sales and stock analysis (monthly and ad hoc) by using dedicated software (CEGID, NEO BI, PowerBI).
  • Translate analysis into synthetic performance reports adapted to different audience with focused action plans.
  • Identify sales opportunities and monitor slow sellers, advise and help stores with appropriate actions.
  • Provide qualitative, quantitative analysis and buying tools to prepare and support Store Managers during the buying.
3. Product animation
  • Optimize every opportunity to move stock throughout the region and to other subsidiaries reducing the financial impact of depreciated stock.
  • Be the reference for the stores for collections information and launch organization.
  • Work closely with VM to intensify product visibility in store to ensure the right level of exposure of products reflecting the buying strategy and supporting sell through & sales performance.
  • Build action plans in close collaboration with VM, Stores, Client Experience, Training to achieve sales ambitions.
  • Support the VM and Customer Experience teams in preparation of in-store animations.
4. Others
  • Be an active player of the Merchandising Community in Europe collecting, sharing best practices, tools, initiatives, creating synergies with the European team by relying on them for reporting and analytical support - avoid duplication and improve efficiency.
  • Be the key liaison between the Stores and Métiers: share feedback and key information, transparency and effective communication with stores is essential.
Profile
  • Master's Degree in business management
  • A first strong experience in a similar position is mandatory
  • Multicategory retail merchandising experience is a plus
  • Highly analytical - proficient in Microsoft Office especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Interest for fashion luxury and retail and commercially aware
  • French speaking and fluent in English are a must
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills
  • Able to work independently, set priorities and meet deadlines
  • Flexible and able to organize, prioritize and perform against multiple and short deadlines being in high demand,
  • Be influential, comfortable and structured to interact at different levels of the organization
