We are looking for a Software Engineer specialized in Data Engineering, with expertise in TypeScript, Java JEE, to design and optimize our critical data pipelines. You will play a key role in orchestrating data flows that power our medical monitoring systems.

Your missions:

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines to process complex data.

• Design, develop, and maintain APIs within a microservices architecture.

• Implement high-performance serialization formats (e.g., Protobuf) for inter-service communication.

• Optimize massive data processing workflows, ensuring performance and reliability.

• Work on integrating data from various sources (medical devices, external databases).

• Collaborate with backend and product teams to ensure data integrity and usability.

• Ensure compliance with MedTech requirements for data processing (security, regulations).

🥉 Background

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or equivalent.

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering and/or backend development

• Strong expertise in TypeScript, Java J2EE

• Experience with data processing frameworks (e.g., Apache Beam, Apache Flink, Apache Kafka, Spark, or equivalents).

• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.

• Knowledge of best practices in data security and privacy.

• Familiarity with cloud environments and CI/CD tools.

🥈 Hard skills

Besides what is already listed above, you have/are:

• Highly aware of secure development practices (Top 10 OWASP)

• At least one experience in a microservices architecture

• At least one experience in a high scale production environment

• Familiar with production development workflow (code reviews, branching models)

• Familiar with Testing practices

• Good documentation skills

• Fluent in both English and French

🥇 Nice to have

• Already practiced TDD

• Knowledge of Avro, Parquet, or Protobuf is a plus

• Open source project development experience

• Knowledge or interest in the MedTech sector is a plus!
