In the department of Scientific and Regulatory Government Affairs, we are looking for an Ingredient Regulatory Science Senior Leader.

Your role :

• Lead internal and external activities related to strategic ingredients being under scrutiny for regulatory submissions.
• Engage with external and internal stakeholders, including industry partners, regulatory bodies and governments to ensure business continuity and growth.
• Master your scientific expertise to support our key ingredients by engaging in international consortia.

Your key responsibilities :

As a member of the R&I Scientific and Regulatory Governmental Affairs Team, you will :

• Develop and maintain relationship with key stakeholders including business partners, scientists, regulators and authorities with a view to manage strategic ingredients under scrutiny.
• Become a recognized subject matter expert in multiple competency area and complex issues
• delivering position papers, expert opinions and joint statement for a final objective of regulatory submission.
• Represent L’Oréal Research and Innovation externally within trade association consortia and international fora.
• Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary programs related to key ingredients for business continuity.
• Represent the entity in regional and global internal taskforces.
• Provide contributions to ingredient strategic roadmap and its rollout.
• Strengthen our network of external partners and associations to shape scientific discourse.

To succeed in this position, you have :

• Strong scientific and/or regulatory background (cosmetics, chemicals, other relevant)
• Ability to engage externally and influence stakeholder and partners, ideally confirmed by a first experience in ingredient management.
• Strong evidence of strategic & critical thinking in managing future opportunities and threats
• Excellent and clear communication skills, including written communication skills, to influence in a very complex and fragmented environment.
• Rigorousness, deepen analysis, ability to cooperate and adapt to a changing environment.
• Proven experience in strong Leadership in coordinating some difficult dossiers and international teams.
• English speaker + other foreign language, ideally French
• A master’s degree with 15 years of experience or a PhD in chemistry, biological Science or equivalent with 10 years of experience.
