JOB PURPOSE:

The purpose of the Continuous Improvement Packaging Manager is to enhance and optimize packaging processes through continuous improvement initiatives, with a focus on standardization, training, support, root cause analysis, cost efficiency, and knowledge development.

Working closely with all the 6 McCain plants by connecting with the local packaging, production and CI managers. This regional role is instrumental in ensuring that through an in-depth knowledge of our Manufacturing network, a regular support is built, key projects are identified to improve our results around fundamental pillars: Safety, Quality & Customer satisfaction, Delivery, Cost, Sustainability and support People capability.

The candidate will be a motivational, data driven, structured with a good vision of Continuous Improvement/Lean implementation. Using the McCain Driving Impact global program for harmonizing, auditing, facilitating, supporting, improving the packaging performance but also capabilities by empowering our people through development, training and coaching.

Strong sense of collaboration is required to enable real connections with plant leadership teams to build and animate the packaging managers community.

 

WHERE YOU’LL WORK:

Flexible – can be based France (Harnes, Bethune) or The Netherlands (Lewedorp)

· 30% - 40% regional travel is required (France, Netherlands, Poland)

· Occasionally outside Europe

 

Reports to: Manufacturing Excellence Director Continental Europe

 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

 

· Standardization: Develop and implement standardized packaging processes across all production lines, ensuring consistency and quality. Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to established standards and identify areas for improvement.

· Training: Design and deliver comprehensive training programs for packaging personnel to enhance their skills and knowledge. Work closely with HR to ensure training programs align with organizational goals and industry standards.

· Support: Provide ongoing support to packaging teams, addressing challenges and ensuring efficient operations.

· Root Cause Analysis: Lead and facilitate root cause analysis initiatives for packaging defects, inefficiencies, and errors. Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure continuous improvement in product quality and packaging integrity.

· Cost Efficiency: Identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency in packaging processes without compromising quality.

· Continuous Improvement Projects: Initiate and manage projects aimed at improving packaging efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing overall performance. Identify opportunities for automation and process optimization to drive cost-effectiveness. Set ambitious goals and plan ahead to make them happen.

· Data Analysis: Utilize advanced data analysis tools to assess packaging performance metrics and identify improvement opportunities. Generate comprehensive reports on key performance indicators and present findings to stakeholders.

· Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as production, quality assurance, maintenance, engineering and procurement, to ensure seamless integration of continuous improvement initiatives. Take initiative and work across boundaries.

 


Profil recherché

Profile description:

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

Experience and Professional skills

· Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in manufacturing

· Fluency in English is necessary. Fluency in French or Dutch according to the location.

· Clear understanding of Manufacturing environment and performance indicators

· Proficiency in data analysis tools and project management

· Proven ability to drive results using Lean, or other structured problem solving methods.

· Be a role model in terms full potential mindset to support the change management

 

 

Other Competency Requirements

· Courage to have difficult discussions with groups from all level of the organization

· Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills

 

Education:

· Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
