Context

  • Are you adept at creating detailed 3D characters and monsters in ZBrush and Unreal Engine 5 for AAA games, aiming for realism with high-poly designs?

Why do we need a Senior Character Artist ?

Almost all the studio is now focusing on this AAA action-adventure combat game based on Indian mythology. To breathe life into these virtual worlds, we require a Senior Character Artist who can create a diverse range of 3D characters/monsters (heroes, bosses, creatures, NPC…) that align with the artistic vision of our games.

Your future team

You will work on a project with more than 80 people in the studio and mainly with Oscar (Lead Character Artist) and Adrien (3D Character/Monster Modeler).

Our artists are supervised by Jérémie (Art Director).

Oscar GIMENEZ (Lead Character Artist): Working in video games since 2006 in a variety of roles, from Prop Artist to Art Lead,  but mainly focusing in character art roles, Oscar Gimenez has contributed to a wide range of titles including AAA top sellers like Street Fighter V, Ghost Recon Wildlands or Crime Boss, just to mention a few, but also in AA, indie games and Blockbuster films as Marvel Thor Ragnarok or Guardians of the Galaxy 2.

Jérémie, Art Director (your future manager), has over 15 years of experience in video games in Montreal, having been Associate Artistic Director and Senior Concept Artist on franchises like Dead by Daylight and Star Citizen. He specializes in defining a clear and effective artistic vision through artistic direction documents and is attentive to details to provide you with all the tools and resources necessary to achieve the production teams’ objectives.

    💸 36k€ to 44k€ (+ depending on profile)

Déroulement des entretiens

1. First conversation (20 min) by video call with Arthur (Recruiter): To learn more about your experience, interests, the role, and Novaquark.

2. Technical interview (45 min) via video call with Oscar (Lead Character Artist) and Max (Senior Concept Artist): To assess your technical skills and meet your future manager.

3. Finale interview (45 min) via video call with Jérémie (Art Director): To share his artistic vision at Novaquark and the project
