🔎Context of the role:

As a Data Science at OpenAirlines, you will play a role in our mission to revolutionize the aviation industry.

Integrated into the data science team, you will lead end-to-end R&D projects by identifying and implementing new fuel-saving opportunities within our SkyBreathe® software, for our customers.

Your expertise will directly contribute to helping our airline customers achieve significant fuel efficiencies and reduce their environmental footprint.

💻Technical Stack:

  • Programming Languages: Python, SQL, …

  • Data Science Tools: Pandas, PyTorch, Scikit-learn.

  • Infrastructure: Git, Docker, Google Cloud Platform, mlflow, kedro.

🏋️‍♂️Activities & Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate and Innovate: Work closely with the product team and airlines to understand business needs, translating them into innovative functionalities for SkyBreathe®.

  • Model Design and Deployment: Design and implement new models to track and enhance the application of fuel-saving initiatives.

Examples of projects you might be able to work on:

  • Identify new fuel-saving methods by defining and modeling fuel best practices for pilots.

  • Simulate the perfect flight using machine learning on time series data to replicate flight dynamics.

  • Provide smart insights to help customers dynamically identify operational improvements.


Profil recherché

We’re looking for talented, enthusiastic, open-minded, innovative, committed people who enjoy a challenge and want to contribute to the development of solutions that revolutionize the aviation sector thanks to advanced technologies and a rigorous approach.🌍

  • Hold a Master’s degree or PhD in Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.

  • A first significant experience in designing and building ML models for business applications.

  • Excellent analytical abilities, deep statistical and modeling knowledge, and strong communication skills.

  • High proficiency in Python and its data science stack.

  • Experience in flight operations and aeronautics.

  • Fluent in English and French.

Déroulement des entretiens

Our hiring process:

  1. Introduction call: Our HR, Vérane, will tell you more about OpenAirlines, and get to know you better, your background, and your interests.

  2. Technical Interview with the head of Science, Nicolas and the HR: It’s a cultural & collaborative interview: we will discuss together about our culture and check what can be your contribution to OpenAirlines.

  3. Final interview with a technical case: During this stage we want to get deeper into your technical knowledge.
