🔎Context:

SkyBreathe is the eco-flying solution developed by OpenAirlines. It helps airlines reduce their fuel costs and environmental impact by analyzing flight data and computing best practices. This solution provides guidance to airlines by leveraging the huge amount of data an aircraft can generate. It is paramount for the success of SkyBreathe to validate the quality of data before being integrated.

You’ll be working with your internship supervisor, members of the Professional Services team. The Professional Services team is a division of the Customer Experience team of OpenAirlines which is in charge of the day-to-to-day relationship with our customers. The Professional Services team is responsible for customer-specific developments, customer’s implementations, and other tasks. You will also be working with back-end developpers, customer success managers. The aim is to become fully integrated into the day-to-day interactions of working in the Professional Services department.

🏋️‍♂️Activities & Responsabilities

In order to accelerate customer-specific development and validation on Flight Data Record (FDR) extraction, you will be responsible of designing and developing a tool capable of analyzing its content and perform some automatic testing such as -but not limited to- unit checks, value consistency. Your main activities and responsibilities will be:

  • Learn about our data integration pipeline, and more specifically on the FDR source.

  • Gather objectives, constraints, side-effects of an FDR validation automation.

  • Design and implement a technical solution, in an industrialzed way so that the tool is used on a continuous basis.

  • Validate and document the solution.

To go further:

  • Design and implement a solution for an automatical specification of FDR mapping.

Profil recherché

  • You’re at the end of your apprenticeship or degree course and are looking for an internship to put your knowledge into practice. This internship is the last step before you enter the professional world as a developer.

  • You have good knowledge of the following technical stack: Python, Git, MySQL. Knowledge on Java, cloud computing platforms is a plus.

  • You have good knowledge, or at least curiosity, in Aircraft and Airline Operations.

  • You are rigorous and curious, with a strong team spirit.

  • You have great communication skills.

  • You have a good level of English that will allow you to communicate with our international teams.
