1.0 Summary of Job Purpose:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Technician to join our quality assurance team. This role is pivotal in maintaining and enhancing the quality standards of our small gas turbine engines used in commercial and business jet applications. The Quality Technician will liaise with external and internal personnel to address non-conformances and develop quality improvement plans to ensure customer satisfaction and regulatory compliance.

2.0 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Non-Conformance Management:
o Investigate and treat non-conformances detected by the aircraft manufacturer or their customers.
o Document non-conformities, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

• Quality Improvement Plans:
o Develop and execute quality improvement plans based on data analysis and feedback from customers under the supervision of the Quality Manager.
o Monitor the effectiveness of quality improvement initiatives and adjust strategies as needed.

• Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action:
o Conduct root cause and corrective action investigation using the 8D methodology.
o Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive and effective corrective actions are implemented.
o Track and document all 8D reports and follow up on actions to ensure timely closure.

• Inspection Requirements:
o Have familiarity with inspection requirements and processes to ensure the quality of products.
o Work closely with the inspection team to understand inspection findings and integrate them into quality improvement activities.

• Continuous Improvement:
o Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in processes, products, and services.
o Participate in quality audits, both internal and external, to ensure compliance and identify areas of improvement.
