As Opella. Customs & Trade Compliance Manager, you will take responsibility for assisting the Head of Customs to guarantee a full compliance of all Opella operations worldwide according to customs regulations and trade agreements in force.

Key missions:

Monitoring and management of customs operations: 

  • Interactions with internal and external stakeholders involved in customs processes,
  • Conduct internal or external Customs audits of processes and operations to make sure that Customs regulations are applied.
  • Follow up the KPI about Customs performance.

Support customs compliance of our activities by contributing to edit and improve operational processes, as well as monitoring compliance with our customs commitments.

Main tasks:

  • Maintains and monitors all customs licenses and certificates, mandates ensuring they are kept up to date
  • Regular collaboration with the various parties for the execution of customs formalities.
  • Technical assistance and advice for the completion of customs formalities
  • Participation in the security of customs data (customs classification and origin)
  • Communicating customs clearance instructions
  • Conduct audit of customs activities
  • Determination and follow up of corrective action plans to maintain customs compliance
  • Support of plants during customs controls and litigation
  • Contribution to the improvement of existing customs procedures.
  • Participation in the implementation of new internal operating procedures to facilitate the customs relationship with customs representatives
  • Monitoring of performance indicators and analysis of customs data to identify areas for simplification and optimization
  • Interactions with customs office to support our customs operations

About you

  • Deep knowledge of customs and international trade
  • Strong expertise in customs compliance
  • Minimum 7-year experience customs management
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization (a business partner mindset, service oriented, is a must!)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment and to prioritise tasks effectively
  • Fluency in English
