Strategic context:Sanofi has currently the best and more robust pipeline of R&D and consequent new launches of our history. As new phase of Play-To-Win strategy, funding this pipeline and new launches is key to materialize the miracles of the science to improve people lives. Thus, as we enter the next phase, modernization of Sanofi is required as per the recent announcements on DRIVE, and in this respect, we are in the beginning stages of organizing the Go-to-Market Capabilities (GTMC) team at global level.GTMC organization will help us to drive best-in-class capabilities across the board and bring value and excellence to our commercial operations. This move is a key part of the aimed modernization of Sanofi and will allow us to focus on our priorities across our products, market and pipeline through the reallocation of resources and realizing the efficiencies of removing silos that exist between our business units, avoiding the duplication and overlapping of resources, standardizing our processes and tools, operating with a One Sanofi approach to accelerate our key capabilities development, and fostering the entrepreneurial spirit by speeding up the decision making.As part of GTMC, the vision of the LEX/MEX pillar is the establishment a new Sanofi wide Launch excellence cross functional framework, ensuring excellence in Medico Marketing fundamentals and upskilling the Medico Marketing teams with cutting edge new technologies, capabilities and ways of working. The LEX/MEX will not only be a centre for expertise and though leaders but also an important support to execute on those best-in-class capabilities. ​Key dimensions - Scope & ScaleGTMC organization aims for:

  • Establishing Best in Class Launch capabilities to win in the B12 launches, while ensuring excellence in execution in Medico-Marketing fundamentals.
  • Centralization of Go-to-Market excellence and operational tasks across GBUs.
  • Standardizing best in class capabilities with strengthened global support while verticalization of reporting within GTMC from local to global.
  • Defining clear ways of working and bringing clarity on interfaces with GBUs, Digital, and executional support on commercial operations from Sanofi hubs to optimize process excellence and efficiency.
  • As a member of LEX/MEX organization, the Early Launch Innovation and Business Partner Lead will be accountable to:
  • Develop and deliver the Best-in-Class launch effectiveness capabilities, defining and implementing performance standards of excellence, by creating a new launch performance framework, defining the stage gates KPIs/KIIs along the launch journey, creating an insights generation framework to support decision making and the enhancing launch activity tracking. Also, will be responsible to drive alignment of the organization towards the critical performance metrics and fostering a performance driven culture. All supported by an AI-led revamped digital ecosystem, supporting decision making from the Excom to the launch teams.

Main responsibilities:

  • Develop the critical capabilities to prepare a BiC launch with business franchises, R&D, Medical, Access, M&S and other GTMC pillars.
  • Develop a robust launch stage gate measurement framework, with KPIs, KIIs aligned with external benchmarks and defining the critical milestones and expected outcomes along the launch lifecycle.
  • Provide data to support critical launch decisios from clinical to commercial: Ig IEGP;; resource allocation; launch Incentives and other critical dimensions in partnership with I&A team, digital and business teams, leveraging cross-functional collaboration.
  • Set up an AI-led solution with “360° launch view” across all X-functional stakeholders to track performance, best practices and customer impact, with one version of the truth to support strategic and operational decision making.
  • Lead transformation towards an insight driven and performance culture across launch teams (xGBU). Drive adoption of the new digital solutions.
  • Partner externally and drive open innovation to disrupt the way Sanofi is driving launch effectiveness
  • Lead the launch navigator project that will allow Sanofi to ease decision making on the critical launch decisions by simulating potential impact of it in the overall “time to peak patients”. This will be used by the Excom for critical/high impacts decisions and by the launch teams at global and local levels. 
  • Ensures continuous internal and external benchmarking, codifying BIC launch performance practices and scaling it across the organization.
  • Build the data foundations for launches, managing external partners and supporting launch decisions with the most relevant and best quality data.
  • Partner with digital to develop an enhanced digital ecosystem and AI Led technologies to support BiC launch performance, translated in clear market competitive advantage. Act as single point of contact between the Launch excellence/Launch operations teams and digital, defining the business requirements for the digital solutions and tracking deliverables according with business expectations.
  • Elevate Sanofi launch readiness, contributing to define launch readiness governance and framework embedding data and insights to drive decision making.
  • Audit launches combining internal and external (analysts) perspectives and provide guidance on BiC.
  • Partner with pre-launch and commercialization excellence for a seamless asset management across the brand lifecycle.
  • Ensure alignment with other GTMC pillars, namely Insights and analytics, Digital and other MEX/LEX functional areas guaranteeing seamless strategic and operational alignment

  • You will work very closely with the Strategic Pre-launch team, commercialization fundamentals and Launch & commercialization academy team to ensure E2E business continuity.
  • You will foster strategic alignment and close collaboration between cross-functional teams and drive structured ways of working between teams to provide maximum value and efficiency to business teams (M&S, Marketing, Medical, GTMC, Corporate affairs, Digital…)

About youWork Experience:

  • 15+ years in Commercial Operations environment, insights and analytics, and launch management.
  • 5+ years in leading cross functional teams
  • 2+ years of Global experience
  • 2+ years of Local Country experience
  • Deep understanding of launch management, launch readiness framework and building BIC capabilities
  • In-depth understanding of pharmaceutical industry
  • Experienced in leading by influence and drive in matrix driven project teams/organizations.
  • Agile mindset and practice: ensure the correct pace of the acceleration being outcome goal oriented.
  • Ability to leverage networks, to develop people, coach & give feedback, empower people.
  • Ability to lead change while achieving business goals & objectives, act for change - Challenge the status quo. Be persistent and resilient.

Knowledge:

  • Commercialization expertise (commercial and/or medical)
