❓ About SiPearl…

SiPearl is building the European high-performance low-power microprocessor dedicated to supercomputing and AI inference. This new generation of microprocessors will first target EuroHPC Joint Undertaking ecosystem, which is deploying world-class supercomputing infrastructures in Europe for solving major challenges in medical research, security, energy management and climate with a reduced environmental footprint.

SiPearl is working in close collaboration with its 30 partners from the European Processor Initiative (EPI) consortium - leading names from the scientific community, supercomputing centres and industry - which are its stakeholders, future clients and end-users.

SiPearl employs more than 190 people in France (Maisons-Laffitte, Grenoble, Massy, Sophia Antipolis), Germany (Duisburg) and Spain (Barcelona).

💻 About the role

In this role, you will work closely with our infrastructure manager and your colleagues from the network and security team to ensure the proper functioning and evolution of the information systems. You should have a strong interest in security, as you will operate in a sovereign environment that requires intellectual property safeguarding , as well as maintaining high performance to ensure the smooth operation of our HPC (High-Performance Computing) cluster, which supports the advancement of R&D in EDA (Electronic Design Automation).

🎯 What a regular day at the job might look like

• Manage the company’s networks (2 data centers in France, offices in France, Germany, Spain, and remote offices)
• Ensure site and wide area network interconnections, and manage relationships with telecommunications providers
• Keep the network state-of-the-art in terms of security, availability, and reliability
• Participate in the deployment of network security policies to protect all data
• Monitor network activities to detect and prevent security incidents
• Manage firewalls and VPNs to secure all communications
• Provide level 2/3 support to resolve network and security-related incidents
• Work closely with other tech teams
• Identify and resolve incidents

• Interconnect platform to other external sovereign cloud platforms
• Design and creation of new data centers to extend availability and compute capacity
  
• Transition to a new log centralization solution
  
• Adding an IDS/IPS layer
  
• Integrating a new monitoring solution
  
• Implementing automation as code
  
• Integrating SDWAN links
  
• Refactoring old data centers based on the new design
